    Single-party "democracies" have a really really bad track record.

    Besides, there are a lot of communities in this country to which the Democratic party does not see fit to extend viable resources for governance. What of the citizens in those locations? Execute them outright, or just let them starve? Subsidize their relocation to places the Democratic party actually is willing to govern?

    You don't fight stupidity with stupidity, you don't fight corruption with corruption, and you don't fight tyranny with tyranny. Be better than that.

    In the 1970s most gay men and women got out of the Republican party thereby giving up the ability to counter the influence of the fulminating fundamentalists and right-wing crazies.
