Some of you guys here are still voting Republican and many of you will actually vote for some of the candidates in this video. If you're one of these people and you have me on your buddy list, please delete me now. Anyone who can vote Republican in this day and age needs their head examined. Watch this entire video before commenting please.

Well I have to say I started laughing when I read this as, I certainly agree regarding "having ones head examined", however a couple of things:

    1. You are making your recommendation based on gay views only (at least predicated on what you say above). I'm make my decision on a number of issues and I think your "head examined" argument could be a little stronger if you based it on more than one issue (albeit, bigotry toward gays.. or any minority certainly ranks.

    2. Being a republican doesn't make you evil.. that's a 4 letter word that I'd take off the table, use a different word, just divisive and again, based on your "head examined" comment... use a word that is more credible.

    3. Republicans do have some good ideas.. they aren't all "monolithic", so don't classify them as such.

Now having said that, any one voting for Cruz, should have his head examined.

Republicans do have some good ideas

Too bad they are sandwhiched between many catastrophic ones.

I don't really understand the learning disability that is the republican party. Unemployment when Bush left office 10 percent. Obama 5 percent. And that's with a congress doing everything in its power to subvert him, and Obama isn't even a good president but you don't have to be good to make any republican president of the past 30 years look bad because their core ideas are nonsensical.

Being a modern republican doesn't make a person evil, it just makes them not serious. Stubbornly clinging to a personal political identity at the expense of logic and reason.

That is unreasonable. There are reasonable Republicans even though they are few in number. Someone here may have the choice of voting for a senator who is a very reasonable Republican or an unreasonable Democrat even though that may be unusual.

Who cares. Men have been having sex with each other for thousands of years, and they will continue to do so for thousands/millions more regardless of others' attempts to change it. Some crazy guy preaching about how gay people have sores because being gay is a sin, when the local prostitute down the street, who has straight sex, has herpes all over her face and sores all over her hooha, just demonstrates how ignorant of a man he is.

This guy needs Jesus more than any random homo does, so we should all probably pray for him.

True but I think you're missing the point. All of these Republican candidates attended this event hosted by this crazy preacher. At some point, crazy belief systems can become a part of the government if we are not watchful.

Any gay who believes the Democrats have their interest at heart is pathetically mistaken. The Democrats will sell gays out as soon as they find a new voting block (which is likely to be imported from a gay unfriendly 3rd world culture).

True conservatives in the Party despise RINOs, believe in states' rights and want everyone's liberties left alone. Democrats push for federalization to increase autocratic rule.

By the way, to the delusional ideologues who believe Republicans are racist, theocratic and fear mongering bigots, you should probably look at the party who fought FOR slavery, enacted Jim Crow laws, attempted to deny religious freedoms and created internment camps based on race & ethnicity.....it wasn't the Republicans - it was the DEMOCRATS. icon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gificon_surprised.gif

Oh wait, one more point! Which party's nominees are all "old white people" (a term liberals love to use pejoratively)? The Democrats!

The Republicans have 2 Hispanic lawyers, a black neurosurgeon and a female CEO as primary candidates: doesn't get more 'diverse' than that!

If the GOP doesn't shake off the religious right, the party will slowly wither on the vine, certainly at the national level. It is in a demographic death spiral and, when it comes to social issues, it is crying out for someone with the vision to drag it into the 21st century.

Ever since their "religious exemption" was exposed to the world, in effect, exposing their agenda, their rhetoric is worse than ever. Thank goodness, someone in mainstream media, Rachel Maddow has the 'balls' to expose these control freaks for what they are. Why hasn't CNN or Faux News ran this video and commented on it?

He didn't mention Hitler, I thought he was about to. If anyone has learned its lesson from the past its the country of Germany, who now ranks one of the least religious and most highest satisfaction and happiest places for LGBT people to live and work (I suppose this still goes back to the conservative 50's era of gays, communism and the republican lavender scare tactics)

Cruz father, the supposed scientist, is a lying sack of shit. First of all, if he is such a religious figure and pastor, he has no business being in the science field to begin with. If he is a preacher, how does he reconcile his belief in creationism v his work in evolution? He needs to find another line of work such as full time church, theologian work. People like him make the S.T.E.M fields unwelcome and homophobic to our LGBT. I SHOULD KNOW, I am in the STEM fields and I have experienced discrimination from people who think like this douchebag. I don't understand, religion, specifically christianity, has always labeled science as "evil",
I suppose because its in direct competition with religious supernatural forces. may_the_force_be_with_you_physics_geek_n

A theocracy America wont be, we need to continue to expose their lunatic agenda. BTW, I do have first hand knowledge that, 'some' in the military industrial complex, that was infiltrated by these crazies, are pouring their money into Texas and Ted Cruz' campaign. An absolute WARNING to everyone who votes, open your eyes and keep theocracy out of our secular government. If theocracy gets control of the US backed by some in the military complex, you can be sure of WWIII, with christianity's arch enemy, Islam.

And they wonder why "Christianity is under attack", as it should be icon_twisted.gif

No the death spiral is because of RINOs like the Bushes who destroyed the party's image through wars & massive spending, and the MASS importation of 3rd world cultures who block vote 8:10 for the Democrats. It is not a change in ideology, as conservatives believe in individual and unalienable freedoms.

Make no mistake, the 'demographic' shift is not ideological, it is ethnic. Post 1970 immigrants block vote 8:10 for the Democrats since Ted Kennedy's 1965 immigration act. Democrat politicians openly laud the Act as the gift that keeps on giving to the Democrat party, which will "eventually turn the United States into a one party state."

I know of other one party states that have really respected gays, don't you?

The shift is both ideological and ethnic. I don't think a vastly diminished GOP will be a good thing for democracy, but in order to offer a credible alternative, the party needs to cut the rope and let the element go that is dragging it toward its death.

I am glad someone can see that and the fact that they are working with the Bush family, they need to all go to prison for what they have done and are still doing.

Carson and Trump are the least truthful, and Clinton and Sanders the most truthful, according to PolitiFact's analysis

Back in the day is all started with this.....Don't ask and don't tell.....

Basically, Bill Clinton told everyone to stay in the closet and that being gay was shameful. Especially, if you were in the Armed services.

Both political parties have history with gay issues. Even when StoneWall was the trending troublesome deal. I am sure that many of the democrats who jailed gay men at that club were fine union workers and most likely democrats.

Both parties are shameful when it comes to gay rights, gay issues and social issues.

I think cruz is awful and represents awfulness. Even his own party members hate him. I can't stand him either.

Any party or candidate (Republican, Democrat, Independent) that hinders, discriminates, attacks against the gay community will NOT have my vote.

Unfortunately we do not have any good candidates or party for that matter.
