    that's pretty much it.

I think i caught a cold from my anatomy lab partner. So I was going to clean up my room but I started watching stepbrothers instead.

If it's a head cold, I find relief for my sinuses by lying down with a heating pad over my sinuses while I listen to my ipod....I usually just drift off to sleep and the rest is good, too.

My whole office is "symphony of phlem"
I am almost over it. We know where it came from. A straight couple that freelances with us has kids and it started out with them as Strep. ICKY. Everyone take special care. Cold Ez and Mucinex here.

Back in our lab sessions in Biology we were dealing with Staphylococcus aureus colonies... nasty.

What kind of lab is it?

    anatomy and physiology.

the other day in micro biology I grabbed a bacteria without checking what it was. I wasn't wearing gloves either. (my arm is still healing; there aren't any open parts, but I still have scabbed tissue where I got stitches)

    It was staphylococcus epididermitis.

Staph epidermidis is a very common nonpathogenic resident of our skin
it's usually not considered dangerous unless you've been immunologically compromised or have an exposed prosthetic device or a catheter
Staph aureus, esp some of its pcn resistant strains are what you need to worry about

Aye. And note the facilities in schools here are less than ideal. The petri dish cultures were alright, but the test tube cultures (slants) were a bit hairy. We just covered the tops with some aluminum foil icon_neutral.gif. None of us really got seriously ill though. Though there was an outbreak of pimples on some of my classmates. Hehe

Yeah; I don't really know all of that crap. I'm just taking it as a pre-req to do my nursing transition.
