    1. A nation without borders is not a nation. There must be a wall across the southern border.

    2. A nation without laws is not a nation. Laws passed in accordance with our Constitutional system of government must be enforced.

    3. A nation that does not serve its own citizens is not a nation. Any immigration plan must improve jobs, wages and security for all Americans.

Decades of disastrous trade deals and immigration policies have destroyed our middle class. Today, nearly 40% of black teenagers are unemployed. Nearly 30% of Hispanic teenagers are unemployed. For black Americans without high school diplomas, the bottom has fallen out: more than 70% were employed in 1960, compared to less than 40% in 2000. Across the economy, the percentage of adults in the labor force has collapsed to a level not experienced in generations.

As CBS news wrote in a piece entitled “America’s incredible shrinking middle class”: “If the middle-class is the economic backbone of America, then the country is developing osteoporosis.”

The wall really is a stupid idea. Have you ever been to Big Bend National Park in Texas? Build a 20 foot wall there? Seriously?

With all these cops (townies, state, county), border agents and deputies we have (90% of which are doing jack shit 90% of the time, other than waiting to retire), we need a wall?

friggin Mexicans built a 20 mile tunnel to San Diego anyway icon_lol.gif

southbeach1500 saidBut a wall would make it difficult or impossible for all those pregnant Cuban women who are currently walking into the country across the southern "border" to get here. They'll have to go back to the "old-fashioned" way of arriving by sea.

Tensions simmer as Cubans breeze across Texas border

A fast-rising influx of Cubans are crossing the border into Texas by the hundreds each day, approved to enter the United States in a matter of hours.

They walk out to a Laredo street and are greeted by volunteers from Cubanos en Libertad, or Cubans in Freedom, a nonprofit. The volunteers help them arrange travel to their U.S. destination — often Miami — and start applying for work permits and such federal benefits as food stamps and Medicaid, available by law to Cubans immediately after their arrival.

Yes. The anchor babies wouldn't like The Wall.

Libs can't understand that no successful country has such lax border security as we do. Other countries have used The Wall to solve this problem. China, Israel to name a few.

A wall augmented by other technologies would be quite effective. Look at what the Israelis have built. The wall in Berlin and around eastern block countries was also pretty effective. The one in Berlin particularly effective because it consisted of 2 walls with a "death strip" in between.

Yes, The Wall is overdue. Congress passed the Secure Fence Act of 2006.

Only a matter of time until ISIS makes it across the border with a nuke, and wipe out a million plus US citizens. Another Obama failure.

A secured border with a wall is not the only thing needed. eVerify for employment, a better way to monitor those who overstay visas are other examples. Appears some say that a wall is not needed because it is not a 100% solution. Not too logical IMO.

While we are walling off Mexico, we might as well build a wall along the northern border and wall off Canada as well since they have become extremely liberal. America, home of the free, land of the brave would become the worlds largest gulag camp. There all problems solvedicon_twisted.gificon_exclaim.gif

We don't need no goddamned wall. We really need to repeal all these horrendous free trade agreements. International borders just like state lines, county lines, and city limits are all supposed to be imaginary, invisible boundaries. We need to put the border agents along with all police officers to work by enforcing the laws along our borders rather than allowing these public servants to sit on their ass doing little or nothing waiting on their retirement.

You're joking? The wall will eventually be Israel's downfall. May take a few decades, but those Palestinans have lots of kids, and it's only a matter of time until they have tiny undetctable drones that can fly over the wall as well.

In the end , the wall did not work for china, nor the Romans - the most powerful civilisations in the world in their day.

Then we'll have the President of Mexico standing at this new wall, and bravely demanding, in the manner of Right Wing Hero Ronald Reagan:

"Mr. Trump, tear down this wall!"

Earning the US as much of the world's scorn and hatred as the old Soviet Union ever had. And costing the US more in loss of prestige, influence and trade than the mere loss of billions of dollars through this impossible, unworkable folly.

But then we just have to look at who on this site is supporting this idea to realize what a nutjob's errand it is. icon_rolleyes.gif

Wait a minute, you need to include the following areas in your United States of Canada:

    1. Nevada
    2. Baja Peninsula
    3. Colorado

The Baja Peninsula should be annexed from Mexico, Nevada and Colorado do not belong in Jesusland and if I had my way, Utah would also be part of USC. Is Hawaii part of your USC planicon_question.gif

Doing just fine? Joe, hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants have come over the border just during the past few years of the Obama administration. You've got to stop believing Harry Reid and the rest of the Democrats:

Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than Bush ever did, and more came in on Bush's watch.

Clearly, the GOP says one thing, but their policies ruin the country and get innocent people killed.

    Trump's right: They lied.

Incorrect Joe. Obama has changed the definition of "deportation" to include people who presented themselves at the border or a port of entry and were not permitted entry.

You really do need to keep up on what's going on. You don't want to be one of the bamboozled sheeple that the swallows the Obama administration lies no questions asked, do you?

So, are you saying that Trump lied when he called the mishandling, the incompetence, and the deceit of Bush/Cheney?

It's almost surreal how Trump has taken political pettiness on the GOP side to such heights. He's like the lawyer in the musical "Chicago." It's not about who's wrong or right. It's just about razzle dazzle and showmanship, with extra points for who can have the biggest potty mouth.
