What do you do when a person stops loving when something terrible happens to them?

Let them know they are loved when they are not being lovely.

Give them patience because they need time to heal.

Related to the above, Delilah http://www.iheart.com/live/delilah-4846/ was on the radio tonight.

She said, a friend of someone who fell in love needs a song.

The friend who fell in love met a guy. She and him fell in love and the guy immediately started to die. Eight months later, it was over.

So the friend called to dedicate a song of support for his friend who lost her boyfriend.

Another story of surprise from Delilah:

A woman was living in NYC and had a boyfriend.
The challenging surprise was that she got a job in another city and had to leave her boyfriend.
(These things happen in a love life.)
An another job application turned into a job also. It was in NYC. She's moving back to NYC and wanted to know should she try to restart the relationship.

A man called Delilah for a song for a high school sweetheart.

A friend who went to the prom with the high school sweethearts heard the dedication. She told the man's high school girlfriend.

The two former couple talked on the phone.

The couple met in person for a meal. They talked. Her former boyfriend had joined the military.

The lady eventually said, I want you to meet someone. It was their 21 year old daughter.

Before too long, Delilah got a phone call from the daughter inviting Delilah to her parents' wedding.

Delilah is burned out on Bette Midler's song from the film Beaches: Wind Beneath My Wings.

She prefers the Lee Greenwood's version:

    SWEET altnernative
