Anyone caught HPV virus? I think I have it. I have a tongue wart and I am going to see a doctor and a dentist. Sore throat and inflamed tonsils. It is also a risk factor for mouth cancers. I probably had it from unprotected oral.

HPV does not have any symptoms usually but sore throat could also be a result of HPV. Go to your doctor ASAP. Rest well and don't worry. It is a very minor issue in most cases. You may get genital warts as well out of it but they can be easily cured.

Men and boys through age 26 should get the Gardasil shot. Why risk getting cancer.

You may just be run down so try not to worry too much, its not a life threatening thing anyhow, if you have a virus of some sort then ask your DR about Colloidal silver because it apparently kills all viruses, he can guide you on how much to drink, you can buy online or from a reputable health food shop, make sure its medical grade. If he can't help you with that then seek the help of a holistic practitioner or get some advice from alternative healers as they will help or point you in the right direction.
Good luck and keep me informed on how you get on.

Doesn't the V stand for virus? So, saying HPV, or HIV virus become redundant? It's like saying ATM machine. I am not a wordsmith, lord knows. But that stuff, especially from newscasters, always cracks me up.

HPV strains that cause warts don't cause cancers. And HPV usually would clear up from your body after a certain amount of time. If you are younger than 26, you could still get HPV vaccine. HPV should be taken more seriously.

In my opinion, the vaccines would cause more of a health risk than the virus itself so will never have it, in fact I won't be having any vaccines ever again because of whats in them.
I think if my information is correct that HPV can only cause problems if left undetected in women and can cause problems in the vagina. Its like having Herpes, no big deal really.

Are you sure its a tongue wart? Sometimes just a mouth sore or from your teeth biting your tongue, it depends on what it looks like

I ass rimmed a guy once like 14 years ago and had 'something' on my tongue a week later, it could have been a anal wart, I don't know icon_question.gif

The clinic I went to gave me this to put on my tongue, other than some dirty looks from a nurse, whatever it was disappeared in a few days. Just make sure its a wart and not just a mouth sore

This medication is used for the temporary relief of symptoms from mouth sores due to injury. This drug comes in a dental paste that allows it to stick to the inside of the mouth/cheeks/gums. It works by reducing the swelling, itching, and pain that can occur with mouth sores. This medication is known as a medium-strength corticosteroid.

Not that I have had anything, all I had once was non specific urethritis which cleared up in 2 weeks or less, the Doc milked my dick, freaked me a little thinking he was playing with my member hahaha until he said sorry I have to do that, I then said to him if you carry on doing that then you might get a lot more than you bargained for, he laughed, he was gay anyway which was kinda funny, I wouldn't have had the same conversation with my GP thats for sure, we have separate clinics in the UK for sexually transmitted infections which makes it easier to get treatment and you can give a false name and it doesn't matter so keeps it off your normal medical files, I think that helps to keep your sex life confidential, there is no way I would talk to my GP about my sex life, or lack of.

My sore throat has gone and my doctor checked it and I do not have throat cancer. However it is likely to be HPV and it has to be down to my immune system to fight it off. Luckily I seem to be well because the warts have gone but still having some tingling. Gonna have more check ups if anything bad happens, like more sore throats and sudden changes in my throat.

I have to say I don't know of anybody even uses a condom for oral sex. I never even heard of such thing until I took a class for sex ed, and each of us were assigned a contraceptive to bring to class, and mine was flavored condoms for oral. MIND BLOWN.

Just curious though, did you get an oral swab to see if it was the virus? And how big was the tongue wart? I use to have them on the sides of my tongue, or what I believed to be warts because I was sucking/chewing on sugar cane and caused the pH balance to be off and I get them. Just glad yours cleared up by now.
