Well not true...could be happier if it had happened a year or 2 sooner. icon_mad.gif
But I'll take what I can get. icon_biggrin.gif

One of THE BIGGEST homophobic, right-wing, christian douchebags is finally gone. icon_cool.gif
Haven't felt this happy since that other fat piece of repuke shit kicked....falwell.

It couldn't be more perfect. This fat douchebag-repuke dies while on an outing to kill animals for fun. It's poetic justice.
(Perfect scenario would have been to have dick-wad cheney shoot this scumbag in the face like he did that other repuke a couple of yrs ago.) But hey...can't win them all. icon_wink.gif
This repuke's death is certainly a good thing for the Gay community.

And before all of you right wing troll douchebags on this site start saying how awful it is to be happy about someone's death, he and the rest of you morons claim to be christians, no? Well then you should be happy for this piece of crap. He's in a "better" place now. I mean this is what your sheeple tell you in church. icon_lol.gif Morons! icon_rolleyes.gif

You may be glad to hear that, although the SCOTUS is just under halfway through the 80-90 cases it deals with each term, many of the more important cases on which Scalia had a say, but which have not been officially ruled upon, may have to be argued again and voted on again by the court, which is now evenly divided between four liberal justices and four conservatives.

Of course, the justices will also continue to hear future arguments, but upcoming closely decided cases — such as the abortion case out of Texas also widely predicted to lead to a 5 to 4 vote — will now be tied, 4 to 4. In this term’s contentious, controversial docket, split decisions are inevitable. The court can reargue the pending cases and hear the upcoming ones, but they will be too divided to decide anything truly sweeping. Unresolved cases will stack up - until a new justice is appointed.

Learning of the "sad news" in Kansan's thread, I reported there that this was the first time I'd ever found myself laughing upon learning of someone's death.

I'd not told a friend of mine that story yet, met with her today, she tells me that she had a new experience. She's in her 70s, was a psychologist and her husband's a physics professor. Not dumb people. They high fived each other on learning the sad news.

What sort of life brings such reactions by its death that we wouldn't be merely indifferent that he died, but happy?

    I agree.

I had more respect for Osama Bin Laden than that asshole. Atleast Bin Laden was giving up a life of luxury and comfort to fight for something, although idiotic and evil, that he believed in.

That piece of shit was cashing his cheques and making contradictory arguments about issues he barely understood with an unsightly arrogance. He was a moron who didn't realise he was a moron.

He actually gave an interview where he wondered allowed "why don't people see the devil as much anymore? You used to see examples of demonic possession all the time in the olden days, but not so much anymore" "i wonder why that is?"

He was being serious. He thought that the devil had just gotten smarter. Nevermind the idea of there being a devil or demons and possesion, but how about the logic that it took the devil until the 1900s to realise he needed to do a better job hiding!!!!!!!

Like just imagine, thinking there was a devil, who was older than time or as old as time.....and it took him until a century ago to figure out how to manipulate people! Just the logic is retarded. And this man was arrogantly deciding the fate of a country, and since that country has its hands in so many pies and is such a media and cultural giant, the fucking world.

The OP should be ashamed of himself for being happy over the death of a human being. That is disgustingicon_exclaim.gif Granted I strongly condemned his rulings on the Supreme Court and I felt that he was dead wrong for allowing his fictitious beliefs influence his judicial decisions but that does not change the true fact that Antonin Scalia is a human being and a fellow American. By celebrating his death as a good thing, you have proven yourself to be just as ignorant as this now deceased man.

Oh please...cry it to someone who gives a shit. That bloody fat bastard repuke fought Gay rights at every chance he could. He brought his sick religious beliefs into just about every decision the fat bastard made.

And just because it was a human being that automatically puts it on a pedestal? It was a horrible human being. Its right wing religious ideology tainted every decision it made whilst on the bench. (Which by the way effected you as well.) So get off your high and mighty horse there. Nothing disgusting about being happy over someone's death!
In your same strange thought process then, should people all over the world not been happy when Hitler died? He was a human being.
(And no, not comparing this repuke douchebag to Hitler.) Just pointing out that he too was a human being.

Have been down this road with you before. Seems like every time you are off your meds, you revert back to the angry, bitter, over-middle-aged man whom has lost his many meager civil service jobs because of being a complete failure.
So just stick to pedaling your out-of-shape self on your bike. And for fuck's sake, please get back on your meds.!!! (LOL...I just realized you are like a bloody real life Snicker's ad. icon_lol.gif (But I would stay away from the Snickers. Looks like you have had MORE than enough of them already.)) icon_wink.gif

You don't know a goddamned thing about me as evidenced by your idiotic and wrongful post about me. I dont eat snickers bars or any candy for that matter so I don't know where you concocted that happy horseshit about me being out of shape and a total failure in life. You definitely need to check yourself before you try to criticize and question me. You also appear to have anger management issues. There is professional help for that in case you are unaware. Word to the wise, don't fuck with me.

Agree completely, but not about the liberal part. Unless someone was a mass murderer, celebrating their death is a strong reflection on the person.

Some people are hailing Justice Scalia (RIP) as one of the most brilliant jurists of his generation. I agree that he's very smart and a superb writer, BUT he used his intellect, on many occasions, to disadvantage those who truly needed his support. I've always believed that to whom much is given, much is expected, and in my view he failed in that regard.
