At various points in time I have been approached by doms looking for me to sub.

I wonder are most of these guys scam artists?
A few times I have played along to see where it leads I was curious.
The responses fell into the following categories:

    - they want you to join some website.
    - sign some contract straight away without you having met them
or add them to Skype where you get some anonymous profile.

    Have you had any experiences?
    Share them.

Sign a contract? Lol. Red flag right there.

I understand that there are fetishes or whatever out there, but to get unsolicited inquiries is usually a sign of something weird. I mean, especially if there's nothing in your profile that indicates you're into that stuff.

I receive links from hot guys on grindr sometimes. I usually discard them as just cam models.

More often, I have been approached by subs. Although come to think of it, that seems to have died down lately.

There is one guy who has messaged me from time to time over the years, sometimes wanting to "sub" and sometimes to "Dom." We actually fooled around a couple of times, years ago, but he seems to have forgotten.

And there was one guy, a long time ago... I think I complimented him on his profile which (allegedly) featured several of his subs bound up in Japanese rope-work. The guys were pretty good-looking and the poses artfully erotic. He kept messaging me for months, trying to get me to submit. I'd say there's a 60% chance that guy was for real.

Like these, except the photos were all obviously taken in the same apartment.

I've received a message like that on A4A I knew it was fake because it was so well targeted. Gay guys are known to worship masculinity. White guys sit at the high end of the gay pecking order. Muscular guys are the guys most gay men fawn over. So to have a muscular white guy at his peak randomly tell me he wanted to dominate me was too obvious for me.

Did you investigate? I wouldn't assume that unless there were more obvious give aways.

And when it comes to doms black guys are just as high on the pecking order.

I have had subs approaching me as well. I forgot to say. These seem more genuine.

Speaking from my personal experience, authentic (read: real) "doms" generally do not approach potential subs. The subs generally approach the doms. Why? Think about their relative positions in the relationship: the sub requests or begs (subservient position), the dom grants and controls (dominant position).

So doms are essentially wallflowers at the Sadie Hawkins dance? Are there any proactive doms or just the subtle variety?
