Why do some white guys not see how patronizing they are when speaking to minorities? I'm on the bus on my way to the bank watching a white guy having the time of his life teaching a group of Asians how to wave. He even broke down "was up y'all" by explaining that it means "what's up y'all". The funny thing is this dude looks like a bum bit the the people he's teaching most likely go to Rice University. He then procceds to explain to them that when they do there taxes they get money back but when he does taxes he owes because he pays taxes. I'm happy the majority of Americans are not like this dude but he shames me as an American.

I'd rather walk or bike than take the bus. Seems you're describing a drunk.

Why are you shamed by someone else's actions? What are you internalizing?

I live in a predominately minority city. I see some minorities say and do the stupidest shit. It doesn't make me feel shame in the least. Neither when whites do and say stupid shit do I feel shame.

I don't think he was drunk you don't have to be drunk to be a jerk.

We are two different people reacting to similar situations in different ways. If that means you believe I'm internalizing something that's fine. I'll likely never meet you so that doesn't affect me too much

MuchMoreThanMuscle saidYou meet all sorts of trash on public transit.

I hate having to rely on it but it's truly the best option considering my circumstances.

If I never drive again it'll be too soon. I hate driving. One of my customers told me he read an article that claims millennials aren't too fond of cars and I agree.

Yup. There is really no point of feeling any shame or anything else for that matter about the actions of the others. No one out there can be expected to bear the burden of other people's stupidity on his shoulders.

Other guys are free agents, and they do as they find fit. I am free to like it or not. But I cannot be ashamed of something that I have absolutely no part in.

Rice University? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

    I am dying, i can't breathe.

OMG: I am picturing an Asian man wearing a "RICE" Sweater. How awesome would that be?

I mean come on. That's a sketch for a sketch comedy show for sure.

Looking at the history of the world. I find fingers pointing from outside the US silly and childish. Its like members of ISIS using the KKK as an excuse for why America is evil as they set people on fire. Yes, ISIS does reference the KKK.

That said I love my country. I love my species to be honest. I know several people here see me as racist because lately I've been bring up racial issues more often. As I study history I become saddened by the injustices of the world but I grow to love humanity more as well.
