Ex_Mil8 saidJust wait until Trump receives the sort of scrutiny Clinton has been under for the past couple of years. Even his (largely uncritical) fans are going to be left wondering if he's the right person for the job.
Studies have shown that once people make a "brand" loyalty choice, they stick with it, regardless of facts. This includes food products, sports teams, automobiles, all kinds of things, including... politicians. Trump will keep his fans, who merely will become radicalized to match his nuttiness.
The problem for Trump is that there's an entire country of voters to win over, not just hardcore Republican primary voters. That's where I think he'll fumble.
