Why Are So Many "News & Politics" Threads Posted in "All Things Gay"?

I see an avalanche of intensely political and clearly newsworthy threads being posted in "All Things Gay" sub-forum, despite there already being a dedicated forum to "News & Politics"! I was under the impression that "All Things Gay" was essentially the General Discussion forum for RealJock.

    So, what's the deal?

Where are the moderators and admins, keeping threads and posts organized?

Possible newbies and maybe even a veteran on occasion could fail to pay attention to the droplist and change to the appropriate folder.

I have another opinion, however, that might explain some:

It started with some on the political left who were experienced on the forum. I'm thinking they are not happy with the political situation and are acting out against authority or things established. Kind of like a temper tantrum, often not directed towards the cause of their frustrations.

Before the mess we see now, there were three political threads in the All Things Gay forum.

There had been more a few days back, but possibly between his foreskin pulling torture device sessions and stalking and macroing up the numbers of viewcounts on threads started by me, some unnamed person--dare I suggest who I suspect--must have complained about all but the Republican threads because most disappeared back into News.

Remaining here in All Things Gay, as it has been for the past few days, were two pro-Trump threads and one anti-Sanders thread, about which SB failed to mentioned. That seemed perfectly fine by him.

So with three Republican threads in All Things Gay, yes, handsome then placed one here as well.

AT WHICH POINT SOUTHBEACH TURNED INTO A RAVING LUNATIC. lol

I seriously thought he was gonna lose it. Behind the scenes we were all chipping in either to help him up his blood pressure meds or maybe was just a pool on when that aneurism of his would burst. Pick one.

So Southbeach upped the ante, not liking the 3:1 REPUBLICAN REPUBLICAN REPUBLICAN TO ONE DEMOCRAT post in All Things (he only liked it when it was 3:0) so he flew off the handle posting his typical crapload as quickly as he stalks and macros the viewcounts on my news threads (about which I've started posting delightfully into his in return).

Others then posted in retaliation to SB's overreaction to the already misplaced 3:1 status quo and then of course I posted to ridicule SB who's a fucking joke in anyone's book.

Thus I sometimes have occasion to post:
    GOP= Gobs Of Poop

    poop-snathin-elephant-o.gif

    Typical Republican behavior

Slight correction to all that. there was also a scuzlia thread in all things, but in all fairness, it had dropped out of sight for a few days, just revived by some guy today but also in all fairness that guy was pretty douchie to the gay so not completely illegitimate to discuss on the front page of a gay forum. This is still a gay forum, yes?

There are no moderators here. That's why the forums went to shit over the years and so many guys left.

See, the political trolls post in the All Things Gay forum because no one would see their posts if they only kept it in the News/Politics forum.

It's just best to use the Ignore feature on the repeat offenders.

So how is it that yet again Handsome's anti-Trump thread has been relocated from All Things to News yet pro-Trump and anti-Sanders threads remain in All Things?

    Scumbeach, your doing?

NO... that is not why there are political threads every where but the political section.
there are no moderators on this forum

one of the few realJock site features that still work is the "member block" function. Blocking some members is necessary because:
-the Member Block function is the only thing preventing the site totally being over ridden by trolls. This is the interWeb and thus you never know who you are reading. Take some time to find members you can appreciate. Its not about free speech, its about not seeing the same 1980's junk over and over and over.
-its is just a guess; some of the members could work for the GOP and are paid to post here.
-There are multiple accounts and you will see an inflammatory post. to improve the post's ranking and make it remain on top the same person uses several of his sock accounts immediately post after the initial post.
-you are going to vote the way you want and reading the political section is boring. They post in the general "All Things Gay" section to bet better noticed. Bet they are paid 50cents per post.

It's SouthBeach and Co who have gone crazy!
They are just posting the same thread in different forums.

It's a pain in the ass. I wish RJ would fix that.

Though it might not matter too much- we're all queers, so anything we post is queer.

If I start a discussion on (say) "If Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer were tossed off the Empire State Building, which one would hit the ground first?" then it's arguably a queer post, because I'm queer.

And yes, you are correct - the answer to our hypothetical scenario is "Who cares?"

Could also be a little bit of an oversight of the drop down box menu when starting a new thread.

As a new member, I recently tried to post two different threads in "Dating and Relationships" that wound up in "All Things Gay." I actually thought the mods had moved them there until just now when I started a thread in "Outdoor Life" that would have also wound up in "All things Gay" had I not noticed that this is the default board for all new topics..

Every other forum I've ever been on, the default is the board you're on when you try to start a new topic.

So these guys who are posting politics in "All Things Gay" might not be doing so intentionally.

You are correct. However, the "Handsome"Kansan persists in creating political topics here in the All Things Gay forum (today it was a Trump bashing topic, a week or so ago it was an anti-Scalia topic). He continues to do this while I and others have followed the rules and kept political posts in the News & Politics forum.

The "Handsome"Kansan, being a long-time RJ member, knows that the All Things Gay forum is the most widely read forum here and he thinks that he is somehow excepted from the rules and can post his political topics here.

I - and apparently a few others - are fed up with the "Handsome"Kansan taking special privileges for himself.

I have seen your news post in All Things Gay too.

The problem was the change to new threads defaulting to the All Things Gay Forum, and requiring a separate step with the pull-down box. It wasn't always that way.

Until a few years ago the Forum title remained the same when you posted as the one you were reading. If you were reading News & Politics it remained News & Politics when you started a new topic. Now the Forum title of every thread must be manually selected before you post it, unless you're doing a direct reply to a member's post.

It's not a librul conspiracy, as southbeach1500 and his extreme Right Wing minions and disruptors claim. It's just simple oversight when posting, because this extra step isn't required to Submit. If the software had no default, but required a selection be made to accept the Submit, I'm sure you'd see less of it.

What is your precise basis for saying two accounts belong to the same person?

Because the rabid RJ libs can't comprehend that more than one person could have a different political view than them. Therefore, anyone posting center and center-right political views must be me.

Crazy, yes, but we're talking about the rabid RJ libs here.

Yes, understand. I thought I'd give him the opportunity to provide at least a weak explanation, but I suspect he won't.

Interesting how among the most rabid are foreigners. I think they fear the silent majority in their own countries will become more highly motivated by Trump's success.
