Nothing MADE me gay, but toys that may have reflected my gay nature included:

    - my younger sister's dolls, that I stole when a young boy to dress and coif them
    - my sister's toy makeup kits, that I used to style her hair
    - my sister's toy baby carriages, that I pushed all around while she cried
    - her scale model washing machine, clothes dryer, and kitchen range, that I likewise misappropriated from her
    - her Barbie dolls, when they came along in the late 1950s

At the same time, my own toys, that I played with more than anything else, included:

    - Lionel train set
    - microscope kit
    - chemistry kit
    - telescope
    - Erector set
    - several other types of construction/building kits
    - electrical hobby kit
    - plastic car & plane models
    - rocket launcher set
    - every version of steel Tonka truck and piece of heavy equipment (bulldozer, dump truck, hook & ladder fire truck, steam shovel, etc)
    - bicycles, rider tractors, kick scooters, sleds, and every kind of toy a boy should have

I remember uderoos. LOL I think I had spiderman but can't remember. Most of those I didn't know about though I think they forgot the Harry Potter vibrating broomstick that got pulled and banned several years ago for obvious reasons.

    That's blatent false advertising...

I had that ring hopper bounce thing as a kid and you had to have legs of steel to get it 2 inches off the ground.

There's no physical way those kids are bouncing 2/3 feet in the air icon_mad.gif

I remember being a little too interested in G.I. Joe and Ken from Ken and Barbie. I also had a hula hoop & was pretty good with it. The other toy I loved was called an Irish Male. Go figure!

Remember how at fast food restaurants like McDonald's every once in a while the toy that was included in the kid's meal would be different depending on if you ordered the meal for a boy or for a girl? My dilemma was that sometimes I wanted the boy toy, and sometimes I wanted the girl toy - of course mom and grandma wouldn't allow me the latter!

I think I've gotten over it by now.

RowBuddy saidJem made me gay. She was fabulous. All that fashion and fame and what not.

Actually I think the precise moment was in the mid 80's. I was watching He-man like a good little boy when all of a sudden it crossed over into some story arc about his twin sister. Suddenly I was thrust into a story about She-Ra, Princess of Power. The premise of the shows were the same, but now everyone wore leather and lace instead of leather and metal. Master of the Universe AND Princess of Power? I wanted to be BOTH.

Hells no.. I just wanted to sleep with HeMan. Actually sleep. as I was little at the time and thought he looked huggable.

My little pony. As I had well over 20 of them when I was a kid, I think it's safeto say that each and every one of them contributed. Lolol

Don't forget Skip It. That thing was ridiculous. Definitely X-Men and Ninja Turtle action figures. She-Ra/He-Man. I think the game Perfection helped, too, because you've got like a minute to try and fit all of these different shaped pieces into the hole that fits it just right, and then it all explodes up at you.

I bought my little brothers (four and five years old) GI Joes for Christmas... my mom and I had a blast laughing at the obscene level of gay coming off of the little three inch plastic dolls.

That and they came with comics... Cobra Commander is exceedingly snarky.
