Gee, and where to they get those "stereotypical images?" Why, from our own "gay 'pride'" events, where else?

Personally, I try hard not to think about all the wild heterosexual sex. But I don't try to pass laws against it.

The good old right-wing fixation on other people's sex lives... All those folks out there doing what the right-wingers would like to be doing....

You got the "out there" part right, but not much else. If we expect the government to stay out of our bedrooms, the very least we should do is keep our bedrooms out of the street.

Because they didn't hate us before Pride

And because we only became disgusted by vagina after Mardi Gras

This is why we are opposed to str8 marriage

Does that mean no beads for tits at Mardi Gras?

Last time I checked all Gay Pride's have to follow city codes for decency. No breasts, no cocks, no exposed ass cracks. SF may be different!

Gay Prides are ADULT parades that are PG. Suggestive but not explicit.

Nobody needs Mardi Gras when heterosexuals and their sex is spread all over your local TV stations, I think all homosexuals should revolt over this bombardment of, in your face, heterosexual-ism, its like mind control, think about it icon_twisted.gif

Its interesting how you believe that if SOME people in a minority group misbehave you're fine with applying it to the entire group. Yet you don't seem to apply that logic to positive behavior of people in that group. It's a very dark world view, not typical of someone who has joy in their life....

Let's be honest. Only a fraction of straights participate in stuff like Mardi Gras or spring break. Vs like half of gays who are in open relationships.

∆ Fact. Not to mention, Mardi Gras is comprised of a huge number of gay people and Spring Break has plenty of gays participating too.

My first real exposure to the gay world happened by chance in NYC during a gay pride parade many years ago (I was with my sisters on a shopping trip). There I saw public display of BDSM--gay men and women chained/restrained, lashed/flogged, etc. Now understand I wasn't new to BDSM at that time, but public flogging seemed a bit strange to me. Perhaps scenes like the one I just described help create a negative image of the LGBT community.

That is the whole goddamned problem in the GLB community, too much emphasis on wild partying and total irresponsibility. We are way too over represented in these wild, public orgies like Spring Break and the raunchy, gaudy Mardis Gras. Our gay pride parades have gotten out of hand as well with all the drug addicts, gender bending radicals, drag queens, and weirdos giving all of us GLB people a horribly negative public reputation. It is no wonder that our struggle for full equality is very far from over. Go figure.

The concept of "wild gay sex" being the norm is also spread from evangelical and Catholic pulpits all over the US. A lot of people hear these lies every Sunday, even if many of we gays are not aware of it happening.

I don't care about straight folks getting naked in public. Maybe because I grew up in San Francisco. It was an everyday thing. Gay folk, who cares? Why is a breast or gonad a big thing. Most aren't attractive to anyone. And certainly no reason to pass laws. If a fat chick or guy wants to show? Let them.

Thing these gay parades go out of their way in a public display, to shove their sex lives down peoples throat, diffrent to what goes on behind closed doors.

From experience, even the gay spring break is more sexual than the straight one. A lot of straight spring breakers I know from back in the day go down there with their girlfriends and are really just there to party. Whereas the gays come armed with Grindr and a suitcase full of condoms.

Typical heterosexual, male, hypocrisy. They have no problem, whatsoever, watching and fantasizing about two women (um lesbians). Religion(s) think they own them and their vaginas. They suddenly go brain dead when it comes to multiple women, but not when it comes to even two men, there is just an "unspoken" word among heterosexual men icon_lol.gif

The typical heterosexual male must be extremely insecure with their own sexuality, maybe its they don't trust themselves or just 'act upon' their feelings which gets them even more outspoken. I don't think heterosexual women are, for the most part, this homophobic.

I wonder 'who' is searching for lesbian porn? I confess, its not me icon_rolleyes.gif
