I've watched the first half of it. When does he say something worthwhile? So far it's been all of the same rhetoric.

Everyone knows that when we make something like college or health care "free", we mean that the costs are distributed among the population. They know that their taxes, along with everyone elses, are going to help pay for it.

Health care, education, and infrastructure, are the issues because if we do more to make the first two more affordable for more Americans, and we spend more to expand and upgrade the latter, this is only going to be good for the nation entire. That is because these are things that we all use and benefit from, and for that should not be profit-centers.

It's easy to pretend you know what people are thinking, make up what you think they're thinking, and then argue against that. It's called a straw man, and is a logical fallacy.

I thought Dr Phil handled himself somewhat well. It's obvious the three interviewers were trying to get him to disparage young people. I had to laugh, though, after listening to Bernie say in the clip that "free health care ought to be a Right". The interviewers clearly found Bernie's ideas naive and laughable. As a Canadian I'm laughing at them. Sure my taxes pay for "free" health care but they also pay for the police and fire fighters. I don't here American taxpayers complaining about "free" fire departments!

I also noted Dr. Phil said nothing about health care and that he segued the conversation into a pitch for diabetes prevention. Very adroit on his part.

If a person thinks a nationally renowned Psychologist and bestselling author with a long running, award winning TV show has nothing to say....well, you can draw your own conclusions. icon_lol.gif

If a person thinks a nationally renowned Psychologist and bestselling author with a long running, award winning TV show isn't a ratings whore....well, you can draw your own conclusions.

"Doctor" Phil? Hahaha. I can't believe anyone but lonely housewives take anything this quack says seriously. The cunt is just a Trump supporter and is using his celebrity status to attack his competition.

McGraw has a Ph.D. in psychology, so he is a "doctor" (but not an MD) and was a licensed psychologist. I'm not particularly impressed with his professional and academic credentials. In any event, he's a lightweight and I wouldn't hire him even if he's the only psychologist left on earth. I agree, however, that many of Sanders' supporters need a bit of objective self-examination.

This is exactly the type of insight I expect from a carnival act like Dr. Phil. I say that because an expression such as this can be applied to any group of people. It's the same M/O as used by psychics and astrologers. Be general but with just enough specificity to make it personal.

    < "I can't afford college."

    > "Then get a job!"

< "I have one, but it doesn't pay enough."

    > "Then get a skill!"

< "That's why I'm trying to go to college."

    STOP THE INSANITY!

Yup, it was your declaration of uppercase "FACT!!" with two exclamation points followed by lowercase "lol" (with no exclamation points) that really sold your point.
