Thank you for the replys. I convinced him that while it sounds fairly mundane, that he should get it checked out. He finally agreed, & said he's made an appointment, but didn't tell me when it's for. He didn't do some sort of risky behavior btw. I reread my original post just now, & see how it might sound like that. Not that I'm judging anyone that has, or has had risky behavior, but it's just not the case here.
He's a cool, pretty nice, older straight, long married guy I befriended at my/our long stay at inpatient physical therapy rehabilitation in Boston. Now I can, & do get along well with people of all ages. However The majority of the other patients were on average 40-55 years older then the two of us,& they E spite most of us still in a lot of pain from spine surgeries, amputees, etc... We both were restless after awhile, & started watching movies, doing wheelies in our chairs, even had staff supervised windsurfing on the Charles river!! so we bonded. Plus he's just a cool guy, & we somewhat stayed in contact after leaving.
He's not gay so no chance he'll be on here, but still want to respect his privacy. After you spend that long inpatient doing hours, & hours of P.T. After surgery, then finally get to go home, the last thing you want to do is go see another doctor, with yet another problem. Since we both have spinal cord Injuries ( SCI's ), he thought maybe I might've experienced too. I haven't yet, but I read it can be spinal cord, & prostate related. Can be fixed with some by simply adding some medication. Good to know, cuz you never know! Anyway thanks again guys!
