I don't see why people would get "angry" over that. I'd find it funny and maybe shake my head.

I do, however, get annoyed at posters on message boards who feel the need to correct other peoples' grammar and/or spelling. Whenever I see that, I think they are total douche bags.

I'd rather be the "douchebag" who dislikes it than the illiterate IDIOT who wrote it!

    ^^^THIS.

Intelligence (which includes grammar, in my opinion) is important to me. I've never been attracted to dumb guys.

I believe the subject in question was the need to point out someone's typo/grammar/syntax flaws. One can have a command of language without a pressing need to call out other people's shortcomings.

I think I would have to care more about other people to be bothered by their typos.

Totally agree! There's a world of difference between recognizing flaws and pointing them out.

I've always believed that those who take the time and make the effort to POINT OUT other people's flaws, especially when they do so publicly, are doing so out of their own insecurity. It makes them feel superior. And it's really a shame they can't find other ways to feel good about themselves.

Typos, misspellings and grammatical errors make me dizzy--they don't upset me. There's a difference.

I point them out when the one making these mistakes is typing about something like how he can't understand why others don't speak or write english, or being condescending.

If someone is trying to appear better than he/she is but doesn't have a grasp of the english language, yes, that pisses me off, and I will happily put him/her in his/her place!
