The little "victim" was laughing and back on his smartphone before the end of the 9 second video.

Sucks not to have powers to abuse like cops do icon_lol.gif

She's wearing the same blue blouse in the video, her subsequent mugshot, and post-bail photo!

Can't wait for Undercoverman to come in and say she deserves a teaching gold medal or something! icon_lol.gif

    That is a child abuse!

    Exactly!
I don't know why there are people who just thinks it's OK. Even if the kid was laughing afterward, you just cant do that, let alone as teacher.
And yes, that is assault, she should be charged.

You couldn't pay me enough to be a teacher. I don't know why people go into that profession.

He was laughing because he knew he just won a nice lawsuit. $$$$. I've hear too many people involved in education say that's usually the first thing the little darlings learn: I'm going to sue you!

I remember my second grade teacher, Ms. Lott, a skinny wisp of an old lady wacked the shit out out of the biggest kid in class and made him cry. She never had a disciplinary problem in that class afterwards. And guess what? She kept her job.

    9th and 10th are the worth ..
Yes she was wrong , and no she wasn't !
We don't know what happened before she hit the student , maybe he pushed her buttons a little bit too much , but violence isn't never the right solution .
I have seen that kind of teens , before take off , when we ask them to turn their electronic devices off ( by FAA regulations) , they look at you and smile and don't do it , then you have to go back and ask again and again , how many times i have wanted to reach for that device ,but i would be arrested for theft ..aarrghhh...

Oh please! Calling that child abuse is an insult to the children who are really abused day in and day out by the people who are supposed to love and care for them. Being sexually abused, being wacked around by an alcoholic parent on a daily basis and having to go to the emergency room, not being properly fed and clothed because your parent or care giver is a drug addict, being burned with cigarettes because your parent or guardian is a sick sadist - those my friend are examples of child abuse. What that little turd got he probably deserved. It was assault but it certainly wasn't child abuse in my book.

Perhaps it's not abuse to people who are used to violence against kids.

I'm sorry, but there are just some kids who need to have the snot knocked out of them. They are being coddled way too much now a days.

School administrators and parents have stripped teachers of almost all power to manage and discipline their classes. If I were to be hired as a teacher, I'd be arrested on the first day of class.

I greatly support you on what you are saying , to many times " the child abuse " term is not used in a proper situation .

When I use to live in the USA, I lived in a "multi-cultural community" in Atlanta and realized quickly that many black people love to set up white people.

They will be fake-friendly to you, to get to know you better, in order to figure out your schedule and routine, and to see what presses your buttons... so they can plan the best time to rob your ass, jump you, mug you, or set you up to start one of their #blacklivesmatters campaigns.

Before leaving the USA, 2 years ago, I witnessed on several occasions at my HS black kids setting up white kids. They would provoke them to the point they cussed, called them a racial slur, or to the point they would push/shove/punch one of them. After they provoked the white kid to the response they wanted, they than would gang up on the white kid, while one of them recorded video to post on youtube or worldstarhiphop or as evidence to back up their pre-planned claims.

They would all back each other(mob/gang mentality) by saying the white kid first called them a racial slur or hit them first and they would of course have the video as evidence, which of course never included the provoking they would do.

This video of the teacher reminded me of what many of them would do. They would provoke a response and then record it to get white kids suspended or in this case the teacher.

Granted not all black people at my HS acted like that, but most of them did. The only good black people were the white-washed ones (as the ghetto black people would call them). They came from educated black families.

It was insane living in Atlanta. I'm glad I live in a city where whites & asians are the majority now. Not sorry if you think that's racist. There's hardly any crime here, doesn't take a genius to figure out why.

You shouldn't have any kids! I wouldn't want my kid get hit by a teacher. It is not 1940s.

I had a teacher do that to me. 8th grade. Wanna know why?
He hit my head hard two times until I was staggered back just because I was yawning. That's it. just for yawning. without a sound.
I regret that I didn't tell my parents about it.

I was smacked by teachers; albeit, it was a rare occurrence because I knew that when I got home from school I was going to be smacked again by my parents for disrespecting the teacher and embarrassing them.

Too late on me having a kid. I've already raised a kid. She was a respectful child and behaved herself in school and never provoked a teacher to the point of having to be disciplined. She learned respect for authority and adults in positions of authority long before she started school. She's a productive, respectful, contributing adult member of society - something that little turd In the video has little chance of becoming.

It's people like you who shouldn't have children. If he had been given discipline at home he wouldn't be the burden that he is to the school system and society.

I agree. It shouldn't get to the point of where the teacher is so frustrated she lashes out in anger. There should be zero tolerance for bullshit in the classroom. The student should be pulled out of class and his parent called to come get him. He shouldn't be back in class until his parents meet with the principal. After his parents keep getting called to school enough times they'll handle him themselves especially if their jobs become jeopardized.

I had a teacher attempt to strangle me in grade 1, I thought she was insane afterwards. I never told anyone to this day, but I knew instantly what she did was wrong. The incident only lasted for about 5 seconds, but it was over something as trivial as a mis-pronounced word in a book she instructed me to read aloud.

It came to my attention years later that she was abusive to other students as well. I don't know how long she continued teaching but I remember her name, and I remember her unfair disciplinary actions... ie-she had my parents come down to her office because someone had glued my pencil inside my desk. I had detention over that, one time I said "shit" and I was kept after class because someone told on me. I didn't know what that word even meant, to my luck I told my parents I heard them say it when they burnt French fries. They didn't punish me.. they just kinda laughed it off.

But yeah my grade 1 teacher was a total bitch.

And this woman [in the video] clearly is suffering from a mental illness, had someone not video taped her, she'd probably continue abusing kids.

Girls are different, teachers always polite to female students than male students. If you are in a private religious school that nun use wooden stick, then I understand where you are coming from.

Have you not seen the videos of girls acting belligerent? Girls are more and more becoming just as bad as the boys in schools?

You couldn't pay me a million dollars to be a teacher in the US public schools.

I can understand that the teacher was extremely frustrated. My dad was a teacher and I have plenty of friends who taught too. Teachers have TOUGH jobs and deal with a ton of red tape with minimal resources and are often disrespected by everyone. And they don't get paid nearly enough to deal with the crap they go through. We don't know what the student did prior to the video. However, the teacher's behavior was clearly unprofessional, even though I feel for her. She lost her mind, threw his papers across the floor, struck him several times, called him an "idiot ass" and then threw a fit. She was not in control.

You can't tell children not to hit each other and then hit them. It may seem like the necessary thing to do, but subconsciously its just teaching them to solve a problem by using force instead of using their brain. Most teachers NEVER lay a hand on students like this. Furthermore, she put herself in danger. What if that kid (or other students) lost his mind in reaction to her hitting him and retaliated? He could've really hurt her or even started a fight.

Yes, I got spanked by my parents and I turned out great. But it wasn't fear of getting spanked that made me better, it was actually the love, positive reinforcement, coaching and opportunity to learn from my mistakes that made me successful. There are plenty of bad kids who got spanked regularly and still grew up to do bad things as adults. Our prisons are full of adults who were spanked.

Of course I don't think the teacher should be arrested, but that's a real low-quality education she's providing there, and it should set her career back a bit.

It's too bad the student happened to be black, otherwise Undercoverman wouldn't be all over this trying to defend the teacher icon_lol.gif
