Disappointing, especially since it is directly related to passenger health and safety. In addition to the adverse effects of sitting too long, too many folks crammed into those things make them MUCH harder to evacuate in real world situations, not the staged certification events that really mean nothing.

For once I agree with Republicans. That's a market decision. On any flight these days you can buy additional legroom if you're willing to pay for it. If you buy the cheap ticket, you know it will be tight. Your choice.

In related news, the refrigerator industry has decided to put the freezer up out of reach of most housewives. "If you want to reach that TV dinner without a stepping stool, you're going to have to pay a premium" said a Whirlpool spokesperson.

The LG Group concurs. "Consumers have been taking refrigerator access for granted for too many years now. They've forgotten it's a privilege, not a right: so now they're going to have to pay. We have bills too, you know."

Rumor has it that the automobile industry will soon follow suit. This year they rolled out the prototype clown car with product placement featured in the Republican primary.
