Missing Gay London Police Officer Found Dead and Dismembered

A 49-year-old man has been charged with murder after the remains of gay police officer Gordon Semple were found in a London apartment.

Semple was reported missing a week ago. His body was discovered after a neighbor alerted police to a “smell of death” coming from the flat.

Sounds like Ms. Semple was getting some side action. This seems very personal, like a bitter ex or a scorned side piece.

He's a fellow MAN. But more importantly, he's a fellow human being who was just brutally murdered. He doesn't deserve your callous and juvenile disrespect by calling him "Ms. Semple."

Thank god we have one of the lowest murder rates in the world, don't have guns and on the whole the police aren't too bad compared to some countries, hopefully our murder rates don't increase, I think its around 50 gun murders per year in the whole of the UK, thats what NYC have in a month in just the city and surrounding suburbs and not the rest of the state or country, we have only had one school shooting in our whole history which was in Scotland, how many do they get in the US, I genuinely feel safe walking around in the UK and someone mugging you for your phone or money is probably the worst thing that can happen or getting into a fight. I would never in a million years want to live in the US because of the violence and other crime that happens. I appreciate that no country is perfect but with effort, we can make our countries safer for everyone, ban guns in all countries, that would be a start.
As regards the police officer, my condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues.

I had not read that a gun was involved in this murder. The English have been very creative over the years in coming up with ways to kill people without using guns. I assume that creativity remains.
