What I find interesting in all this is the hypocrisy, or maybe call it contradiction, I dunno.
We flew up to Boston this weekend for a funeral. There's another thread here about it. Well, as usual, while using the men's restroom in Boston Logan International, women were walking right in.
I mean, I'm standing right there at the urinal peeing, and women are walking behind going me to the stalls. Just like they do in airports in other US cities. Would they be arrested in North Carolina under this law?
I doubt it. The obvious target was LGBT rights of all kinds. The restroom issue was just a ploy to garner support for a discriminatory law.
And now that the courts have struck down the restroom portion of HB2, what happens to the rest of it? How is it defended by its supporters? On what grounds? This should be interesting.
