on OSX; got Quicken working on Google Drive. What a cluster phuck, how can the Quicken developers even think that way:
-as default has a protected hidden data file
    -wispy auto data file save
-even the data file re-name does odd things

Hey, it's the cloud and the cloud is the future and the future is now.

I'm a bit of a mossback. I think this cloud stuff is still a bit too cutting edge and only safe for simple stuff.

In their case I'm thinking that they could have simplified it by having everything in 1 file, but that's probably a crude solution by today's standards. Google drive probably adds to the complication with their versioning stuff.

They are trying to hide the fact that they've just sold you a spreadsheet that you could have set up yourself for free.

Lol. I actually did manage to resist saying, "Why not just use excel?!"

I tried quicken decades ago and finally realized that I don't need that kind of micromanagement of my stuff. When I go to the grocery store I have a list I wrote on paper; way easier than using some stupid checklist app on the phone and having to fiddle with the phone at the grocery store.
