I just started the Ideal Protein diet, and they tell you no weight training due to the fact you don't really eat enough to do weights. I was curious to know if anyone else did IP and found a way to work in weight training without hindering fat loss?

Haven't heard of this diet but believe the only really successful diet is to develop eating habits that sustain your weight at the desired level, presumably less than where you are now, then lift and exercise to work off the excess. It is slower going, especially if you're gaining muscle mass at the same time but the mass helps you lose weight and at the end, you're both lean and toned. And in a pattern that will sustain you forever.

I haven't heard of it, but it sounds like yet another fad bullshit diet that will not work.

I would never do a diet that wouldn't allow me to lift.
