Hey guys, hope you're all well. I just have a blocking question for this site. I've never really been one to block on any site, though there is one person on a message board that I eventually had to. Anyway I'm wondering if there is a way on here to not only block an individual so I don't see them, but also so they don't see me, write me, or respond to my posts? FB does it that way, but it seems RJ either does not, or I'm not doing correctly. Thanks ahead of time, & have a great weekend

Just click on the "Ignore his posts" line.

Blocking is only 1-way. You don't see the person you blocked. But they can still see you. Or they can just create another profile.

Just ignore it! I skip reading any threads and posts from members that I find annoying. Not hard to do!

Unless a non-blocked member quotes the person you blocked. And then you see his quoted post.

Let me rephrase….if I see and recognize the annoying persons' posts from another member's quotes, then I skip reading them and move on to the next one.

I have never been a fan of "blocking." In my personal opinion, blocking is cowardly.

I hope you're not trying to block me, because I think you're cute.

No nice chap, not you, lol, & thank you;) & DOMINUS I agree which is why I had been avoiding for awhile, & didn't, though it appears to have left suddenly, & rectified the problem on it's own.

"It" will return, sadly. Just go with the flow and scroll up when you see its posts.

I don't normally do it but last week I blocked one who creates 4-5 posts a day and comments on just about all the others but it doesn't seem to be working because they're still appearing

Yup, 99% it's the same one. Makes ridiculous statements, creates terms that don't exist. Occasionally tries to make a semi normal human post to be relatable only to flip, & attack members whom he probably is just so bitter towards, because he's very unfortunate looking, & has faced constant rejection, sound about right?

Cowardice has to do with fear. But there are other reasons to block outside of fear... For example, the person is bothersome, or their posts consistently add no value to the thread and only infuriates you, or they have an obvious mental illness, or they refuse to leave you alone or they are a troll/fraud/blank profile.
