I saw this today and this review has spoilers...
    Beware...
    My rating was 7/10

This was a great movie. I liked the storyline and I liked the narrative. I was completely invested in it. Even before I watched the movie, I was on Captain America's side. I was asked this question by the ticket-master and I just said Captain America... The thing I disliked were the jokes in the movie when Stark was fighting with Rogers. The jokes in and out during the fight. It completely put me off. There were some good jokes in the movie but it was too light and too jokey. Unlike the grim-ness and darkness of DC lol. The inclusion of Spiderman was just to up the numbers because they were under staffed. And why the hell did Black Widow just let Rogers go? I suppose she was ambiguous but she was the one who originally agreed to signing that document.

The beginning, the fight scenes and the locating of the baddie... the cameras angles were confusing and all over the place.

It did feel like Superman in Batman V Superman because Superman was destroying things while fighting the bad guys. Here the Avengers are fighting the bad guys with no respect for other people's property and people's lives!

So they sign documents and now they are public property. Only Captain America and Falcon did not agree because that would mean giving up freedoms and so on. The discussions were good and I could see where Stark was coming from. These "vigilantes" were reckless and they need to start somewhere to gain the trust of the public.

So this villain is looking for clues about Winter Soldiers, what happened in 1991 and he tortures people on the way because he wants the Avengers to fight against each other... In the end I could feel the emotions coming from Stark but I was completely on the side of Rogers.

Unlike Batman V Superman I was invested in the motivations of these characters and see where they were coming from. But my opinion... I liked the movie but the jokes put the score down a lot.

There were some "horror" like moments in the film. That scene from the hotel.

I thought the Black Panther was good. I watched the mid-credits scene but I missed the post credits scene! Argh. I might watch this again, but unlike Batman Vs Superman I probably would not watch it three times...

So did you enjoy it more than Bats vs. Supes? Why? I haven't seen Civil War yet but i am like you in that i am not a big fan of some of the dumb jokes that heroes make when in battle. Ant Man was an exception as i found the humor to fit the character and story line. Otherwise i find most joking around in these movies to be very trite. I prefer the darker tone.

No, I prefer Batman V Superman even though the narrative and storytelling was kinda poor. In terms of the comic book-ness I prefer BvS.

Thanks for your opinion. IM hoping to see Civil war in the next few days. Marvel has done a great job building their movie franchise while DC seems like they are just straggling along. Still, i really enjoyed Bats vs Supes, actually more than i expected. Saw it twice and i rarely see a movie twice. It had its flaws but all in all i liked it.

Captain America was miles better than Superbat. Interesting conflicts, interesting characters. Howeva, it's a bit formulaic and the action didn't feel fresh anymore.

I just saw the movie tonight. I like it, would give it a 8/10. It seems like Marvel tried their hardest to come up with a story line to pit all the super heroes together. Like Spiderman vs. Cap. America, wtf. Lol, Black Widow lets Rogers go because she was on his side and these avengers heroes always do what they want to do. They don't follow the rules. The only thing I was a little confused was, The winter soldier was a bad guy (Asian mixed actor) a couple movies back, now he's BFF (Caucasian actor) with Captain America?? lol !! Anyway, I like it, I was never a Tony Stark Iron man fan!

Saw it yesterday, loved it. 8/10 is about right. Some of the jokes were a little to in crowd.

    I loved it.
I've preferred the captain America stories over the avengers as they seem more 'realistic' the characters are more interesting and hydra is a great villainous organisation.
I like the fact that the film wasn't resolved with a happy ending.
The black panther was done well and i empathised with iron man when usually he's my least favourite avenger.
The only character i disliked was spiderman. Totally unnecessary addition. And they changed the mythos after the last spiderman was only a few years ago. What did they do to Aunt may? She's supposed to be old.

lol. She's supposed to be a grey haired old woman. Marisa Tomei is too hot to be Aunt May
