Donald Trump's Long History of Conspiracy Theories

As Donald Trump reminded the world Tuesday morning, the Republican Party is on the verge of nominating a conspiracy theorist who regularly uses debunked Internet and tabloid rumors to smear his enemies...

"His father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being, you know, shot," Trump told Fox News over the phone. "I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous. What is this, right prior to his being shot, and nobody even brings it up. They don't even talk about that. That was reported, and nobody talks about it."

...The GOP presidential front-runner, whether by choice or by nature, appears fundamentally unable to distinguish between credible sources and chain e-mails....

Cruz should have never suspended his campaign, if only to remain a thorn in Trump's side. Now Trump is even more smug. I don't think the result of the Indiana primary decimated Cruz's spine; Trump's low-blow attacks on his family did. BTW, watch Kasich follow suit-- he is going to announce that he's also suspending his campaign soon.

I was watching some talking TV head say that Trump was so humbled by his Il win that he congratulated Cruz as some fierce competitor.

Was he elevating Cruz to make Cruz look good or to make himself look better by not merely winning some beaten down guy? My bet's on the humblebrag.

So a presidential candidate who accepts large sums of money and jewelry from billionaires who stone gays to death is better:

And the President whose "Good Friend" stones gays to death:

Republican's likely presidential candidate Don Kazoo: Cruz's father involved in killing JFK. "I don't think anybody denied it".***

Democrat's likely presidential candidate H. Clinton: “We know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack — not a protest.”**

About 10:00 p.m.: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton issues a statement confirming that one State official was killed in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi. Her statement, which MSNBC posted at 10:32 p.m., made reference to the anti-Muslim video.

Clinton: Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind.

11:12 p.m.: Clinton sends an email to her daughter, Chelsea, that reads: “Two of our officers were killed in Benghazi by an al Qaeda-like group: The Ambassador, whom I handpicked and a young communications officer on temporary duty w a wife and two young children. Very hard day and I fear more of the same tomorrow.” (The email was discovered in 2015 by the House Select Committee on Benghazi. It is written to “Diane Reynolds,” which was Chelsea Clinton’s alias.)

Sept.12: Obama Labels Attack ‘Act of Terror,’ Not ‘Terrorism’

Sept. 12: Clinton issues a statement confirming that four U.S. officials, not one, had been killed. She called it a “violent attack.”

Clinton: All the Americans we lost in yesterday’s attacks made the ultimate sacrifice. We condemn this vicious and violent attack that took their lives, which they had committed to helping the Libyan people reach for a better future.

Sept. 12: Clinton delivers a speech at the State Department to condemn the attack in Benghazi and to praise the victims as “heroes.” She again makes reference to the anti-Muslim video in similar language.

Clinton: Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place at our Embassy in Cairo yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. America’s commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear — there is no justification for this, none.

Sept. 12, 3:04 p.m.: Clinton calls then-Egyptian Prime Minister Hisham Qandil and tells him, “We know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack — not a protest.” An account of that call was contained in an email written by State Department Public Affairs Officer Lawrence Randolph that summarizes the call between the two leaders. The email was released by the House Benghazi committee.

VP choice? JFK apology? 5 things Kazoo said morning after becoming likely GOP nominee

...Donald Trump took to Twitter and gave a handful of television interviews Wednesday morning — with an eye toward the general election.

Here is a look at what he discussed:

    1. Facing Clinton, not Sanders...

    2. A 'political' VP?

Trump said it's "too soon" to announce his pick...

    3. Funding decision coming

Throughout his campaign, Trump has said he is self-funding his campaign and is against getting money from super PACs — even though he has taken some donations and has a "donate" button on his campaign website.

He told MSNBC on Wednesday that he's "going to be making a decision over the next week."

"I do love self-funding and I don't need anything for myself," Trump said. "But we do need money for the party."...

    4. Party unity?

For all the in-fighting and fear among many Republican leaders about Trump, the businessman said he's confident he can "unite much" of the party.

"Some of it, I don't want," he told NBC's "Today" show.

    5. No apology for Cruz-JFK comments...

Speaking to ABC's "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, Trump refused to apologize for the remarks.

"I don't think anybody denied it," he said.

Yeh and so was George Bush senior, he was photographed in Dealey Plaza the same day and investigators photo matched him because he had a very distinctive way of standing with his hand cocked in his pocket, nobody stands like that, many people think its all a big conspiracy theory that the Bush's were responsible for 9/11 amongst others, all a bit of a coincidence don't you think, there is a difference between theory and fact and thats a fact.
I can't believe I nearly bumped into George and Barbara literally, that was at Wimbledon about 15 years ago, I got the evil stare from his security guys, he looked at me and I know that he noticed my innocence if you get what I mean, his eyes bored into me and I knew that he wasn't a good man right there and then, I have an instinct for people and his vibe wasn't good at all.
Ted Cruz is a Bush operative, thats a fact, Jeb is coaching him so he can be their puppet. Do not vote for him, he is a total creep.

Trump didn't accuse Cruz's father of anything, he merely cited something that was already out in the public arena in several publications. He didn't say if he agreed with it or believed it, only that it was out there.

Donald Trump Defends Linking Ted Cruz's Father to JFK Assassin

Republican front-runner Donald Trump today refused to apologize for citing an unsubstantiated report that Ted Cruz's father was photographed with the assassin of former President John F. Kennedy, saying no one has ruled it out.

"I don't think anybody denied it," he told ABC News' George Stephanopoulos on "Good Morning America.”

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Wednesday that "of course" he doesn't believe the conspiracy theory that the father of his former opponent, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), was connected to Lee Harvey Oswald, the man who assassinated President John F. Kennedy...

...Trump said that Cruz's father said "horrible" things about him and that it's not a "one-way street" when he does something.
