The Kings Cross Steelers in London were the first ever gay rugby club and have been going since 1995, thats pretty impressive, they have 4 teams that compete and many many more players who practice with the teams twice a week in east London, I think there are over 100 players on the books but to compete they have to be very committed and practice most weeks.
They share the club with a straight team who are very protective of the players, anyone who is new and joins the straight team and gives anyone any hassle for being gay and they get thumped by the straight players and kicked out of the club, how cool is that, they are very well respected and bullying isn't tolerated, its the most macho sport there is.

I'm really glad i saw this. I used to play prop in the scrum-half when i was in secondary and highschool. Hated the sport but kept playing cause it got me acceptance from my dad since i was damn good at it. Now that i've seen this, i think i might reconsider playing again one day. Maybe join a team even... icon_smile.gif
