Living on Mars, ever considered it? The Planet has more craters than the Moon and more dust than the Nevada desert. NASA claims they are looking into the possibility but the 'zero gravity' and other phenomena of meteor showers and space debris, cause a serious problem. I think I will stay on Earth.

I have actually spent quite a lot of time thinking about it. And even got paid for doing so, for a while.

Didn't anyone notice last week when Elon Musk said that SpaceX will launch a man-capable (but not manned) capsule to Mars in 2018, land it, and even have some return-to-earth capability? ! That is the very next launch window. That means he thinks he is ready to go NOW!

I am not sure quite how he is going to do it without violating the Outer Space Treaty... Be he has quietly hired up a lot of people in the last couple of years who are experts in that stuff.
