A new poll of Georgia revealed that Hillary Clinton could turn the Peach State blue as she is in a statistical tie with Donald Trump...

...Former Sec. of State Clinton is aiming to break the Republican Party’s stronghold on the South. If Clinton makes flipping Georgia a priority, Republicans will be forced to defend a state that they have long accepted as a given in presidential election years.

Democrats are coming for Georgia, and the nomination of Donald Trump has made it twice as tough for Republicans to stop her.

I think it was 41-40 (Clinton) the last poll on "Realclearpolitics" I noted. It is amazing the change up in some states. I also heard Hillary was ahead in Utah,
but probably due to the Mormon reaction to Trump.

I personally think just a few states will actually be changed, even with this election, but you never know... I think Arizona is a real possibility.

Well, she is from the South and Trump is a Yankee. So, there is that...

Not astonishing - increasing non-white population including African Americans from the north.

I live in Atlanta, Georgia where Trump won the Republican primary but has no chance in the general.
Jeb Bush, Rubio or possibly even Cruz could win in November but not Trump.
My Republican friends would prefer to lose in 2016 rather than have Trump destroy the party for all time.

Exactly. Many Blacks fled north in the 50s/60s due to the increasing racial tensions of the South, which created White Flight from northern urban areas to the newly designed "suburbs." Due to the economic expansion of the 90s and the relative easing of racial tensions, many minorities have returned to the South.

I checked out the "author", his other articles, some of the "polls" he likes to quote..... very suspicious low number polls. Author regularly bashes anything "republican".....this is just more phony media invented "news" trying to sway the public.

As noted by HndsmDemocraticKansan, your own conservative source realclear cites the very same "invented news"-derived poll though calls results it uses in aggregates as a Trump plus one what Politicus called a statistical tie. Politicus shows it found the poll on the web site of a TV station owned by Cox which also has more than 50 radio stations and a number of well respected newspapers including The Shiny Sheet delivered to your door complimentary with breakfast at Mar a Lago.

I agree only that the poll number on this does seem slight, but I'd imagine that accounted for in their margin of error; regardless, both reported directly with the poll and not at all hidden. I can't help it if you have a problem with verifiable facts.

Your mischaracterization of me as using unsavory polls when mostly I quote the likes of Pew and Gallup, very skilled and experienced pollsters, makes you seem like a bit of a douchebag.

That you think I've posted something to sway the thinking of Republicans or wishy-washy independents, may we presume? Um, no. I'd have to give a rat's ass about them for that. I'm simply noting observations and laughing at the GOP clown car. I hope you find that clarifying of my motive. But if not, it's no skin off my nose...

My stating that I often quote Pew and Gallup in response to your saying that "(you've) checked out the "author", his other articles, some of the "polls" he likes to quote..... very suspicious low number polls" is not misdirection but speaking directly to the lie you told about me.

Meanwhile and again, the very same poll you are complaining about--which I did not say was Gallop or Pew--was used by the conservative site realclear which you can see here if you are not too stupid to click a link:

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/ga/georgia_trump_vs_clinton-5741.html

Calling you a douchebag was not a cheap shot but I might have missed the mark only slightly. Actually, by your continued pathological lying, the more accurate label for you is piece of shit. You are a piece of shit, a complete waste of time and I'm putting you onto ignore where you belong. Buh bye.

Well if the democrats are stupid enough to nominate that crooked, power hungry, pathological liar Hillary as their candidate than I will have no viable choice but to vote for Donald Trump because he will be the far lessor of the two evils.

If anyone is repeating themselves it is all you blind sycophants of Hillary who think she has all these so called great qualifications yet the total opposite is the truth. We have been stating true facts all along but you mindless Hillary supporters are scared shitless of the truth and continue to live in your little "Hillary for President" bubble. This bitch needs to be kept out of the White House for the rest of her silver spooned life for the sake of this great country. Yet all you naive ultra leftists will commit the act of treason by voting for her in November. icon_evil.gif

Second Poll Finds Hillary Clinton Could Turn Georgia Blue For The First Time In 20 Years

A poll from WSB2 released last Saturday found Trump edging Clinton 42%-41% in the state. Trump leads with men 46%-39%, but Hillary Clinton leads with women 44%-39%. Clinton leads Trump with African-American voters 73%-9%. Trump leads with white voters 60%-25%. Clinton also leads with Independents 36%-28%, with 38% undecided.

The Clinton campaign is targeting Georgia as one of the red states that they hope to flip in November. If Democrats are able to put Republicans in the position of having to defend reliable red states without having a path to expand the map by adding states that President Obama won in 2008 and 2012, they will find themselves in a great situation on election night.

The reason why Georgia is in play is that changing demographics have made the electorate more diverse than in cycles past. Clinton’s relative strength is Georgia is no fluke as Democrats are gearing up for a Peach State surprise.
