    Laura, a Minister in Ohio
“I signed the letter because I think that the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy that’s been operating in the church and in our society is damaging to a person’s soul.”

    Sharon's Reply to the Article

This lifelong Methodist prays that the conference will immediately terminate these pastors. While every person regardless of gender preference is welcomed to attend any UMC, the role of leadership should not be opened to someone who openly and defiantly ignores the teachings of Bible. We are called to love one another but are also called not to take part or condone actions that are in conflict with God's will for us.

    Daramola's reply to Sharon
In that way the best way to love this set of people is by chastising them and not by saying well done you have please God. As a matter of fact they are not pleasing God but satanists.

    Jan's Reply to Sharon
    100% Right, Sharon.

    Sherrie's Reply to Sharon

You couldn't have said it better!

    Dana's Reply to Sharon

Sharon, and all Methodists, do any of you have any obese pastors on your staff? Gluttony is openly ignoring the teachings of the bible. Obesity is a direct result of consuming too much food. Let's turn all obese people away from leadership. Let's remind them at the next pot luck they are only allowed ONE plate of bbq. If your going to pull the God's will card. Use is equally.

    Julie's Reply to Dana,
Dana, you are twisting this into something that this is not about. Let's not forget that obesity doesn't just come from stuffing your face, it's often a medical dysfunction. Everyone deserves love, but not leadership where conflicts are clearly spelled out.

    Mary's reply to the article
Here are some questions that need to be asked. Is God all knowing? Does he know the end from the beginning? If the God who created every cell in the universe indeed does know the end from the beginning, then he knew when he ordered the contents of the Bible to be written there as he intended, that there would be problems with the laws he gave us to live by in these last days. Being GOD he had what he wanted written in the Bible and nothing less or more. He said that with every temptation man (human) would experience there would be a way to avoid it/them. God does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and forever and he will not be mocked (or moved) by the demands of humanity who demand that Biblical laws be changed to meet their desires.

    Gladys's reply to Mary
    Amen

    = = =

You didn't prevent society from falling.
Now, you say it's ok to fall. In fact those who fall should be leaders.

You need structured intellect, theology and spirituality that builds the character and acceptance of bisexuality.

And with this brouhaha about bathrooms. I was taught in the 1980s that men who cross-dress aren't necessarily gay, bi, or want to have a medical procedure to become women.

Transvestite 1.a person, typically a man, who derives pleasure from dressing in clothes appropriate to the opposite sex.

So, he may still be a heterosexual man going into women's bathrooms.

Given the above replies to the article, it is no wonder that a bisexual man and a gay man would feel the hateful vibe when visiting a United Methodist Church.

See the hatred of Christians. Hillary Clinton Is a United Methodist.

    GHarris replied to the article:

“The policies of the United Methodist Church ask LGBT people to live in secret and hide our light. God calls us to shine our light brightly, and it’s time to change these unjust policies,” Laura Young says.

Oh how we like to pervert the Word of God to justify our evil desires. The "light" referred to in the Bible is the light of the gospel not of the LGBT community.

Hinson replies to the article and the replies:

What is damaging to a person's soul is to sideline the will of God in the church. We must love and embrace the LGBT community but we MUST NOT promote their lifestyle if it does not honour Yahweh God. I have been reading your comments but I am yet to come across anyone talking about the will of God. Loving the sinner is not the same as loving sin. How can 4-year-old children be asked to chose their sexuality? Do you realize that this movement is causing so much havoc and pain to women who are now being abused by boyfriends/husbands who are enticed by anal? It is sodomy; it is anti-God. A young woman once said, she would want nothing more than for her boyfriend to be raped so he would know what it feels like. Think about it or rather pray about it. Unlawful Sexual Relations
…21'You shall not give any of your offspring to offer them to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God; I am the LORD. 22You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. 23'Also you shall not have intercourse with any animal to be defiled with it, nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it; it is a perversion.…

Do you like taking Communion when you know from Leviticus 17:10 that the God of Moses turns His face from you and separates you from his people when you do that?

How saved are you when Rome, enemy of the Jews of the Jewish Revolt put a virus in Christianity such that your search for God's face only turns God's face away from you?

Psalm 27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

The Jewish Revolt was defeated by Rome and Roman propaganda called for the gospels to be written. That's why the seat of Christianity was Rome, and to some extent is still Rome. The Roman propaganda virus infected Jesus in the gospels having Jesus himself declare cannibalism and drinking of His blood to turn his Father's face away from you.

So, go on: think the Bible is your soul's life raft when there is a self-destruct/fail mechanism planted in there by Rome, not only to make violent messianism more peaceful but also to make whatever Truth there is in Religion/Christianity run aground.

If I buy a Sears lawnmower,
I will not maintain it with a Toro manual.

    Some things in the Bible are mysterious;
    homosexuality is called abominable.

    Love to all,

From the Bible "I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— not at all meaning the sexually immoral of this world, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world.

But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.

For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside.

“Purge the evil person from among you.”
    1 Corinthians 5:9-13 ESV

God says homosexuality is an abomination, period. If a person "feels like" the opposite sex, that's just his "cross to bear" while on earth. My single friends don't sleep around or even go close to that because it is against Gods Word. They choose to abstain, and in fact, they"run" if it gets too tempting. You do NOT satisfy the lusts of the flesh when it is against God's Word. Get over it people! It's not about YOU it's about God!!! Do you want to play at Christianity or walk in it?!!

This is not a time for discernment. It is time for obedience.

Your discernment is obviously already faulty and satanic, or you would realize how ungodly and unbiblical your behavior is

24"O daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, Who clothed you luxuriously in scarlet, Who put ornaments of gold on your apparel. 25"How have the mighty fallen in the midst of the battle! Jonathan is slain on your high places. 26"I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; You have been very pleasant to me. Your love to me was more wonderful Than the love of women.…

JStiekes, the Psalmist said, Lord, your face I will seek. Yet, Jesus asked to be remembered in the end with a defeatist and atheistic act: cannibalism and drinking blood. In the end, Jesus saw the destruction of His Father's House of Prayer. So, he could no longer believe in the God who had forsaken Him and the Temple.

What happens when a man loses his God, the man becomes God, which is what happened with Jesus.

The destruction of the Temple and the loss of three Jewish Roman Wars was no longer God punishing His people, it was a Local God being defeated. When your Father dies in battle, you have to stop believing he is still alive. The Act of Communion was and is an act of grief/mourning/letting go.

What? the Gospel of John says Jesus asked for body and blood remembrance before the last supper and lost many disciples because the teaching was too hard for them? Yes, that is what that gospel says. After Jesus' oh-too-true parables, the one about the wicked tenant farmers, were envisioned by him, once he knew that his inspiration: Son of Man Movement to Kingdom of Righteousness/God/Heaven would end with the wicked tenant farmers killing the Son of this Farm Promised Land followed by the Promised Land Owner's Temple being destroyed, he could not let a dead God's face look upon him or his former people who suffered in the Roman defeat of Galilee and the Roman defeat of Jerusalem. My dead father's physical face cannot look upon me anymore. His spirit can put on his old face if I see him in vision, dream, or memory. But the face of a God of Centuries was not a physical face when that God was alive. Now, with that God dying when a father could not save a son, and when that God loses his House of Prayer an altar of sacrifice, when his priests were killed in the Temple, we accept that God's death and that God's burial such that his face cannot look upon us anymore.

    How the Mighty has fallen.

That's our lesson from Jesus' Communion.
