    What's your opinion?

Is Trump stupid enough to have believed the Birther conspiracy or did he merely consider Republican voters that dumb?

Palin thought she could see Russia.

And a lot of GOPers believed her. Me, I'm betting the trumpster thinks the voters are that stupid. After all, they've proved it over and over, especially in the South, but with honorable mention to the folks who elected Bachmann and others of her ilk.

He was, and is, playing the public for fools. And doing a very good job of it.

He believes in nothing except his own ego.

And it's a little sad that neither his supporters nor his detractors seem to be able to see through his charade - they all believe he really means all that stupid bullshit he says.

He wants to be president. He'll say and do anything to get there.

    That's all.

Well the exact same thing pertains to Hillary Clinton "the Wicked Witch of Wall Street" she will say anything and distort facts just to win votes. She doesn't give a shit about the American people, she is only out for her own self aggrandizement. Anyone who cannot see that is either hooked on drugs, mentally challenged, or living on another planet.

    Maybe that's not all.

Did the possibility ever occur to you that some very intelligent people are supporting Trump for unselfish reasons that you don't understand or didn't consider?

Were you looking in a mirror when you wrote that? Ever heard of the psychological term called "projection"?

Trump is a lying, megalomaniacal con man. Proving what PT Barnum said: "There's a sucker born every minute."

If you believe Trump's con then you diminish your own claim to any kind of common sense or even intelligence.

Yes, the same pertains to Hillary Clinton. I've trashed her in other threads. This is a Trump thread.

If you trust Hillary the pathological liar and Wall Street crook to run our country, than you obviously are very mentally challenged and have no common sense. If anyone is the con artist, it is that power hungry whore Hillary with her endless scandals and secrets. She was the only first lady that was highly controversial and corrupt. Yet you are dumb enough to want to vote for this great bullshit artist for President. She gives great feel good speeches but she has no credible leadership skills other than throwing a lamp at Bill and calling him a stupid motherfucker while he was President. Yet if it were not for that stupid motherfucker, she would just be another everyday nobody just getting by in the real world like the rest of us.

    Well let's see...

I don't think Trump is stupid enough to believe his birther theory. And I don't think he's stupid enough to believe Ted Cruz's dad was involved in the Kennedy assassination. But in his quest for personal glory he's tried to make people believe both of those things.

Even if this were all I had to go on, I couldn't possibly trust that he either believes or intends to do what he says. And I have to question either the intelligence or the motives of anyone who supports him in spite of this.

I'd love to hear what those "unselfish reasons" are.

Good man, keep trashing her and exposing the truth about her. Try to educate our dearly beloved Art Deco on why Hillary is definitely the wrong choice for the White House if that is possible.icon_smile.gif

You can question both the intelligence or motives. My question was more rhetorical as I don't see the point in engaging with someone who has made their mind up based on the examples you mention. All I will say is I know several who don't need money or handouts and are pretty smart and support Trump despite some of the imperfections or things you mention. But as they say in college, the proof is left to the student. Have a good day!

Well unfortunately there are no right choices in this election. Unless a credible third party candidate steps up (and I've voted for two in the past) I plan to leave that side of the ballot blank this year.

No one can really understand that Trump does things to get publicity. It is here nor there what he or the voters believed.

I'm sure that Trump is well aware that Obama was born in Hawaii. However, to Trump, the truth is not especially important.

The basic cause of dishonesty among politicians is that American voters will rarely elect an honest person. To be elected it is necessary for politicians to persuade people of antithetical interests that he supports all of their viewpoints.

According to the New York Times the birther comments started with the Clinton Campaign in 2008. Clinton operatives, her folks, started the Birther intrigue. They "leaked" comments about it. When he was suddenly passing her in elections and delegates. Sure, Trump picked up on it, but it started with the Clintons. One reason Obama called Bill Clinton racist.

The only reason Obama made her Secretary of State is that he struck a deal. Support me after the primaries, let's be unified, and you will be Secretary of State. Well documented by several insiders. They hate each other. He put several rules in place, like no contact with Sidney Blumenthal, a shady character, which the emails show she broke time and time again. Her time as Secretary of State? Russia took off, Egypt went rogue, Libya has been a disaster, Syria is crisis. China has become huge, North Korea is shooting off rockets, though mostly ineffectual for now. And who gave Nuclear technology to North Korea? Bill Clinton.

This might date me but back in the day when Bill was Governor of Arkansas his wife turned a $1000 dollar investment into $100,000. In one year. On the commodities market, though she had never invested before. She said she did it on her own, even though she had no history of investing on the Chicago Market. A few years later it came out through court records that the in-house attorney for Tyson Foods, the largest chicken processer in Arkansas, said he made the investments for her. And for the next few years Tyson won a few contracts and was not fined for several environmental problems.

Thank youicon_exclaim.gifNow try to educate all these mindless sycophants known as Hillary supporters about these facts. Hillary was probably the worst Secretary of State in US history. What you listed here are all her so called great accomplishments as Secretary of State.

Fed on a steady diet of Fox News pablum and lies, along with Conservative radio hysteria, they thereby lack critical thinking skills and true facts, and were ripe for a master manipulator & deceiver like Trump.

If any group of people lack critical thinking skills and are psychologically imbalanced, it is all you Hillary Clinton supporters. What you guys see in this pathological liar is beyond belief. She is a bigger bullshit artist than Donald Trump could ever be.

All politicians lie; this is nothing new. In order to get elected, politicians have to be all things to all voters. Trump is a different animal. He may be a total con man or he may believe what he says when he says it. He has no consistent policy positions; they change with the wind. He attacks our allies; Cameron certainly has negative qualities, but why would a presidential candidate attack him before getting into office? He makes nice with Putin.

I think his ego is huuuge. He has very poor judgment and is not a politician. Even though Americans hate politicians, we need them. He could blunder into war quickly. He cannot admit error or see imperfection in himself. He is a very dangerous person to give security clearance or nuclear access. Putin would run rings around him by massaging his ego while slipping him the knife.

Republicans hate Trump, but they want to use him to get back the White House. They believe that this is their last card to play. Perhaps they believe that they can control him once he is elected. Republicans believed that they were popular when they were hated by their own electorate. This is why things are upside down.

Voters in the Republican primaries felt betrayed by both parties and felt voting for none of the above was their only way to have a voice.
Trump voiced their frustrations and focused their rage on immigrants, blacks, and women. These voters are people who are hurting and want their old jobs back. Democrats used to be a pro-union party; unions are all but dead. No one speaks for working people. Enter Trump with hollow promises.
