It's not as warm or friendly...it feels too classy, in that expensive way.

I find this a horrible layout....cant seem to find my saved searches? and the private photos site under a profile doesn't style...just loads the content icon_sad.gif

"If it ain't broke, why fix it?"

Lots more white space. Less content per square inch of screen. Print (font choice) harder to read; too "pastel", not bold enough. No column headers in Mail; functionalities in Mail removed/lost. Lost the great homepage where the hot topics being discussed were listed in quick, easy-to-read list. "Fashionable" look of "modern" websites, meaning less user-friendly, less information imparted per screen, more time-consuming to read. Looks pretty in the "dumb blonde" sense–nice "fluff". More "hidden" content requiring excessive clicks to reveal instead of maximizing content per view.

    Overall rating: Fail

Suggestion: Make the old configuration available as well as an option. Makes everybody happy. (A4A has done exactly that!)

From the laptop I can see the new look...

It looks like a BLOGGER warning.

    Plus there's not an «insert video» button yet... icon_eek.gif

the fonts are a wee bit smaller and I was hoping for some more emo-cons, like popcorn eating smiley, I like the rest, will take some getting used to finding everything

Honestly, from a sheer graphics standpoint, this new look pales in comparison to the old one. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" would apply here. I applaud an attempt to improve the look and function of this already beautiful site but this, in my opinion, is a step backwards. Granted, change is always hard sometimes, and maybe we will get used to the new version, but I was fine with the old one.

Overall I agree with this. Definitely needs more work, particularly with the sizing of text and the excessive white space.

I gotta agree with everyone here. Hate the layout, the colors, the sizing. I feel like I'm looking at a webpage from a 90's dial up aol site. It's too spaced out, too minimal, and no offense but the last thing I wanna see is "online and verified" instead of the first.

I like it, although it has a bit of the early 2000-forum-wave-look. Still beats the old one, that more looked like something that came along with the creation of the internet.

Agreed. Plus the forums are buried at the bottom now.

I like this layout, it beats the previous one for me too, since that one looked like it came into being when Windows 96 first came along. It's strange, we all see it at different times, actually I saw the old layout before I logged in.

My first impression. I don't like it. the layout is not as user friendly, and all my photos are blurry!

My photos seem clearer lol, but the words are so very small. The Edit and Delete options are also bigger than the usual font, and the quote function is wonky. But overall, I'm okay for now.

I guess I'm just happy for some changes because this site was being stagnant for too long. And also the copyright at the bottom now extends to 2016, rather than being stuck on 2013.

I think the major problem for me is that the photos are too small. Member thumbnail photos across the site are now smaller and more densely packed, which makes them difficult to see and not nearly as inviting to interact with.

I'm also concerned about the removal of saved searches.... Is RJ trying to move away from being a community site and more towards just hosting content?

So I now have to make a new stalker reduction device to match? Bummer!

And what happened to the fonts? Wrong bottle?

It's a bit confusing and all over the place, I'll get used to it though. I like the new logo.

Is there a way to reorganize the home page? Because everything is so....big. Like unnecessarily big. Every little thing has it's own section you have to scroll down to see. You used to be able to see the hot topics, online/verified, who viewed me, motd in one view now you have to scroll down, which is kind of lame. It just seems like a step back.

It has a nice look. It will take a little bit to get used to. I think reordering the stuff on the front page would be good as well. Consider lifting up the forum posts higher on the page.

not a fan actually. but whatever.

Now that we have a "down to bottom" button, will we be getting a "down to top" listing as well? lol.

somehow the logo should be red to match the text.

Can we get the font in forums larger, i can't read this without my glasses on.
