http://www.politicususa.com/2016/05/28/republicans-stunned-trump-reveals-presidential-campaign-broke.htmlWhen Donald Trump told Republicans that his campaign had money, it was a lie. In meeting with Senate Republicans, Trump's campaign privately admitted that they have no money and will not be able to run television ads until after the GOP convention in July...

...The admission suggests that Trump will be far more dependent on the GOP brass for money than he has led voters to believe...

One thing Trump does NOT need is more TV time. He already gets a ridiculous amount of free publicity. Why spend money on ads before the convention anyway? He already has the nomination locked up.

As true as what you've said might be, it doesn't quite address that, according to the article: "When Donald Trump told Republicans that his campaign had money, it was a lie."

Also he deceived the electorate into believing him independent.

I don't think anyone really thought (or even expected) that Trump was going to spend $1 Billion of his own money they say it will take to wage a general campaign against the Clinton Machine.

While you might be right again, does that make it right to have pulled one over on the electorate, to lead them into believing that you are not beholden to those who hold your nuts in their grasp? Granted in this case the GOP hand would damage its own GOP arm, but he's not exactly freeballing that tiny little nutsack of his either.

Trump shouldn't spend a penny. Stirring up hatred has garnered him free publicity so far. Why change the forumula?

He's already spent nearly $50 million. That's quite a bit of his own skin in the game. Just because he said he is funding his own campaign (which he has) doesn't necessarily mean he's funding it all the way to the end. I think people know he's rich --- but not THAT rich. Even rich people don't always have $1 Billion laying around in cash. This is just the liberal media trying to make this more of an issue than it likely will be.

Trump cannot self-fund his campaign because he has been lying all along about his alleged riches.
His "empire" consists of a bunch of buildings owned by banks that he puts his name on.
This is the reason he can never release his taxes -- his lies about his wealth would be revealed.

"Crooked Donald" is a con but it's all about his bullshit charity giving and his ripping off the gullible through his Trump U.
Exaggerating his wealth isn't an issue
though it does make him a BULLSHIT ARTIST
    and that surprises no one.

Think what it cost to fly around the country campaigning, renting venues, paying a staff. Someone has to pay for it. He never said he had $10 Billion in cash

Trump didn't need money to sell his very popular product: Racism To Republicans.

But he's going to need more money than Sheldon Adelson has to sell his carnival act in the general election.

Racism meaning something you don't like. Bulletin ..... calling racism is so last year. The new term is Hitler-like. Try that. It'll fit you well. icon_lol.gif

It seems GOP donors already know that a donation to Lyin' Donald's campaign will be money down the toilet.

GOP Donors To Trump: Go Fund Yourself

If Donald Trump thought he was going to pay off the $36 million in loans he gave himself for the primary season by relying on GOP donors who anted up big cash in the 2012 presidential campaign, he’s in for a rude awakening.

According to the Washington Examiner, GOP donors who ponied up tremendous amounts of cash for various other candidates in the 2016 presidential race don’t like Trump, and have decided they will invest their funds supporting GOP candidates running for senatorial and congressional seats, aiming for a GOP Congress that would keep a prospective Hillary Clinton presidency in check.

Maybe that explains why he hasn't paid 35% of the $6 Million he supposedly raised early this year for Veterans until last week.

Trump's mouth is writing checks his ass can't cash.

But he did brag on several occasions that he funds his campaign and because of that, no one can tell him what to say or do in his campaign.

Wrong. He's loaned his campaign funds, which he will get paid back WITH INTEREST. It's, literally, a business investment for him. He's not out a penny. And he lied. His whole schtick for months was "I'm independent, nobody controls me." Now he's going to be controlled by funders.
