Zappa was sort of right but he didn't mention the Dem party also being in attendance. The whole system is unresponsive to voters. Trump and Bernie have tapped into this frustration.

Jonah Goldberg in his book "Liberal Fascism" probes modern liberalism's spooky origins in early 20th-century fascist politics. ... Goldberg's study of the conceptual overlap between fascism and ideas emanating from the environmental movement, Hollywood, the Democratic Party and what he calls other left-wing organs is shocking and hilarious. ... The book's tone suffers as it oscillates between revisionist historical analyses and the application of fascist themes to American popular culture; nonetheless, the controversial arc Goldberg draws from Mussolini to The Matrix is well-researched, seriously argued—and funny.

^What are you talking about? The Republican party, especially the far-right, is bat-s*it crazy and their nativism is destined for fascism and authoritarianism.

Trying to paint liberals as fascists is simply not going to stick. Nice try, though. Have fun with your crazy Republican party going forward.

The Democrat party is a party of authoritarians - even more so than the Republicans. More government is always better in their minds.
Limited government is a completely foreign concept. It is a "nice try" because you know I am correct on this.

Concentration of more and more power in the hands of fewer and fewer people is a long-term goal. Anyone attempting to slow this process will be viewed as a threat.

Many credit Lenin with introducing the term "useful idiot". Whether this is true or not is unclear. However, believing all government action is benign makes one worthy of that label.

True, and it all has the ring of theocracy about it.
