Ryan's continued support poisons his future attempts to become President. It's time for moderate republicans to pull their political support for a racist double talker.

I think Ryan's position makes perfect sense. It reflects the thinking, attitudes, and values of a majority of the Republican Party. If anything, Trump is to the left of Party leadership.

That's a good point. But something the Republican leadership should realize will only play strongly to their base. Not to the centrist voters nor to Democrats. The battle is always for the voters in the center, assuming you have your base secure.

All they have is a fired up base. But they also know that is enough if Democrats and centrists sit on their hands like they did the last few elections. Obama made the point in a commencement speech (I think at Howard), it's not rocket science. Just vote. If sane people had voted when the insane, the Republican Tea Party, was rising, we'd still have a functioning House and Senate.

My Grandmother was born in Mexico. Mexican is a nationality, not a race, so calling #Trump a racist is pure BS! It's the #Media stirring things up. The judge might have more of an issue if Trump was a drug lord. Apparently, the "Judge" had 24/7 protection for his stance AGAINST drug lords from MEXICO!! lol

Trump supporters are sounding even more confused.
2BStupid is all we can expect from them as Trump continues to expose the GOP for what it's been.

I am baffled how someone can call someone else a "racist" and still vote for him. I think ultimately Trump will continue to open his mouth and let his venom spew out. This will hurt not only Paul Ryan but the entire Republican party. I am disappointed that more GOP members have not come out and disavowed this horrible man.

its a rough time to have an effective administration. No one, who is qualified, wants to step up. For example Speaker Ryan; would just rather not bother.

Just 22% of Republicans polled by You.gov thought Trump's rant against Judge Curiel was "racist".

Even Republican apologist Jennifer Rubin admits in today's Washington Post that it is time to admit the obvious. Most Repubs today are bigots.
    Read her column. Astonishing!

Some Republicans would vote for Hitler if he were somehow "resurrected" today. It's all about the US Supreme Court. Come to think of it, when Trump gets all riled up my spine starts tingling because he reminds me of someone that this world ought not to forget (red face, small mouth, highly articulated hands, etc.).

If the judge were Jewish, and Trump said the judge should recuse himself because he's a Jew, what would the response be? Where are all the apologists for the people who said and thought the same about Hitler? "He's only exaggerating, he wouldn't do those things." Do the same with many of the things said by Trump, and you have to ask why so many people rush to defend him.

Who wants to roll the dice and see if history repeats itself, but this time in America? Oh, yeah, America has the blood of Native Americans and many other ethnicities on its hands - we set the standard for Hitler and Stalin to match/beat. But we can be great again......
