My name's Ray, I have Erbs palsy on right arm. I jog, hike, and drive a car. Was just wondering if there are other guys with similar disabilities out there. As people with physical challenges, we too value our fitness and wellbeing, sometimes more that fully-able people. Share your expriences? Holler out? Thanks. Ray.

Well, I have a prosthetic left leg that it quite a challenge; I'm learning to get around on it, and hoping I can find a way to get back to cross-country skiing, which has been my life.

Thank you for the great topic, OP. The most inspiring people I see in the gym, of either gender, are those who are physically challenged because they are showing courage and dedication to overcome unusual obstacles and stigma. I hope to read some more wonderful and inspiring posts on this thread!

I was over at the clinic getting trained to use my prosthesis last week, and was really humbled and inspired by the number of people so much worse off than I am, getting ahead with life. One boy, maybe 15, has two prosthetic legs and was learning to walk with a walking frame. Another father and son, with three prostheses between them - or was it four? Dad had a leg and an arm gone, his son a leg and maybe and arm - were coming out as I came in. And a guy with a leg and an arm missing, who had been unable to walk without a protective harness the week before , was walking around with hardly a limp. These people have such determination.
