Trump has never said anything homophobic, and has always gotten along well with the gay community in New York....I also now realize, with brutal clarity, that in the progressive hierarchy of identity groups, Muslims are above gays.

    Excerpts.....

"This is the saddest day of my life. I can't even wrap my mind around the horror of what happened last night in Orlando. Where 50 joyful dancing queers were murdered by a religious extremist. I'm sad -- devastated, in my soul -- about that; but I'm also sad that the events of Orlando have shattered my political beliefs, as I can no longer swear allegiance to a peace-love-and-unicorns progressive philosophy that only helps to get my fellow queers killed."

"Yes, there is a war between religious fundamentalism and the spirit of love and tolerance. But we progressives here in America still labor under the delusion that the religion we need to combat is Christianity. But that's a strawman opponent, and has been so for decades.

"Since the 1990s, Christian extremists have essentially lost all their power, and are now toothless nonplayers in the 'culture wars.' Meanwhile, Muslim extremists, with guns, murder us, and on the left our only response is to bleat about 'Islamophobia' and jump through hoops trying to explain away the self-evident religious motivation for the killings,"

"Oh sure, all year I've been playing the 'Bernie or Hillary?' game with all the other default-Democrats in my social and professional circles. But this is no longer some kind of game. Our lives are on the line. Although I voted for Hillary in the primary, I now cringe inwardly with shame and embarrassment at having done so, and in November I will vote for Trump."

"Why? Yes, I know that Trump is an asshole, Trump is a clown, Trump is a motormouth buffoon. You don't have to convince me of that. But he's also the only person saying anything about putting the brakes on Islamic extremism, and in light of what happened last night in Orlando, suddenly that is the only issue that really matters when it comes to the health, well-being and safety of the queer community."

"As an aside, Trump has never said anything homophobic, and has always gotten along well with the gay community in New York, so there's that in his favor as well. I also now realize, with brutal clarity, that in the progressive hierarchy of identity groups, Muslims are above gays."

Exactly what I was wondering. It's exactly what I was curious about: How do gay people feel today after seeing this happen, and the Democrat Party, their party, the progressive movement, do everything they can to absolve Islam for this, to absolve the shooter and to find a way to blame Christians for what the shooter did. "I also now realize, with brutal clarity, that in the progressive hierarchy of identity groups, Muslims are above gays,"

Except most of the victims in this massacre were Latino, and we all know Trump's plans for them. Moved by the tragedy but ready to vote for someone who has been pretty consistently anti-Latino? She is confused.

I'm A Gay Activist, And After Orlando, I Have Switched My Vote To Trump.

Two problems with that statement. One, that you're a gay activist. A scanning of your list of RJ forum posts does not demonstrate this claim. On the contrary, your political views seem notably gay-antithetical in many cases. Not very "gay activist" at all. Certainly not typical for a gay activist.

Plus, if you're a Fort Lauderdale gay activist, perhaps I should already know you. Fellow member of the Pride Center's Founder's Circle? Active with Broward House? Member of Equality Florida or the HRC? Belong to the Dolphin Democrats, perhaps? Maybe we'll see each other at this Saturday's Stonewall Festival in Wilton Manors, marching in the parade or riding a float? How exactly ARE you an activist?

Second, did you really switch your vote to Trump? Or merely make it a formal announcement? Again, your list of Forum posts, available in your RJ profile, suggests a preexisting animosity for Clinton, and an attraction for Trump. So you've actually made no big change, right? The tragedy in Orlando was merely a rather reprehensible opportunity for you to declare it here. icon_razz.gif

Trump talks about illegal immigration and we need to enforce existing laws. In reality, the protesters are paid to be there by George Soros, MoveOn and other Democrat backed groups.

And...what other country can you walk over the border and demand government benefits?

That was the title of the article.....and the excerpts were taken from the article which you can do by just clicking on the link at the end.

But yes....you are correct in that I've been a Trump supporter since the beginning. But it's so good to see millions more getting on the Trump Train.

I'm voting for Trump as well.Having Hilary would be like having Obama all over again. And most people don't want that.I can't speak for everybody buy there is a vast majority of people who regret voting for him.But they really have no one to blame but themselves. They fell for his bullshit and believed that he would change America.Well he certainly did change America alright, but not in a good way. We're in debt,in need of jobs and he has made a mockery of the United States to other countries. What kind of president is that.We need a leader.Obama is not a leader, never has been. And has never be respected by any world leaders, especially Putin. They see him as weak. And lets not even get into what happened in Benghazi and Hillary's email scandal.

    No Fly, No Buy:

Trumpsters, why do you support the right of someone on the federal "No Fly List" to buy assault weapons?

70% of NRA members and all democrats support "No Fly, No Buy".

This comes at no surprise. The power of fear from 911 and gay people is how Bush Jr. got a second term. And who did not see this coming that Trump would get more support after this? Using people's fear is very powerful. I don't base my decisions on fear. Too many errors can come from that. Both parties are telling us to base our choices on fear. Whether it is fear of terrorism or fear of Trump. Both Trump and Hillary are terrible options. icon_confused.gif

How will Trump deport someone who was born in the U.S.? The shooter was born in New York.

Understood, but his expression can be very provocative. I'm not trying to slam him for it. I think he's saying things lots of people think and then immediately tell themselves it's not okay to think. But there is still a conflict in stating one is going to vote Trump BECAUSE of Orlando. Sort of a "fuck you" to the victims. There had to have been some illegals up in that club.

Totally agree on the border and gov't benefits point.

Hillary is funded by Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is the backstage instigator in this religion war . It's not Islamic extremism either. "Death to the infidels" has been a core principle since day one. What part of that don't people get?

REALLY? And your evidence for paid protestors is what?

You do indeed sound like a tin-foil-hat Trump supporter. Who got his training as a Teabagger. But your claims are ironic, given that Trump himself was initially hiring actors, through talent agencies with his own money, to pad the audiences at his early campaign appearances. Most notably at his announcement of his candidacy. As the reputable media had proven.

As for immigrant benefits, you're wrong again. It's done in a number of European countries. The distinction is whether they are identified & detained as illegal immigrants. But once established in a country they can be eligible for benefits.

I am not fearful. I just don't like Hillary. She could of prevented many attacks in Libya and Benghazi. She has far to many "friends" in the middle east who in all reality HATE GAY PEOPLE! We know that. We can't travel there without real true FEAR.
So in reality......I am NOT A SHEEPLE I act.....vs. BEING ACTED UPON like so many young people in Orlando!

Just how I feel and the facts are there.

    PS
Not to mention, but OBAMA made some very poor calculations about IRAQ. That's how ALL the uprising began. ISIS is the former BATH party of the minority group of SADDAM HUSSEIN

Trump with his flaws has some ideals that ring a bell

Stupidest collection of FOX talking points I've ever seen. So you don't credit Obama with bringing unemployment down from10 to 5%? So you don't think he should have gotten us out of the biggest foreign policy blunder in 100 years, Iraq? So you don't understand economics and that he followed fiscal/monetary policy textbook and brought us out of the Republican Great Recession faster and to further than any other first world country? You don't credit him with fighting Republicans at every turn on gay issues? So you don't mind a huge dose of racism in a President? So you'd like to export 12 million latinos? So you love the idea of carpet bombing cities full of civilians? So you like the idea of killing the families of terrorists? Pitiful.

The invasion of Iraq caused the collapse of the state border and empowered Iran destabilizing the shia/sunni rivalry. Don't you people ever read?

Maybe even more than just PC.

Barack Hussein O. bitches that Christians "cling" to their guns and bibles....but he only praises Islam. Says the 5 times a day "Muslim call to Prayer" blaring out all over a city is "the most beautiful sound he's ever heard" ....so clearly BHO uses PC to defend his own Muslim people.
