http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-team-revises-golf-amid-tax-controversy/story?id=39155939...when Trump purchased one of the most expensive luxury yachts in the world from the Sultan of Brunei, "The Princess," he used a lease-back arrangement involving an out-of-state company to avoid having to pay $1.75 million in sales tax to the state of New Jersey for the purchase of the yacht.

Hey Waldo, find the American Flag.

lol - Nope, there's more. The "gay-killing" Saudi prince to whom Lyin' Donald sold his yacht has very close business ties with Trump and bailed him out twice when Trump got into financial poop. Not only that, but the prince later mocked Lyin' Donald about it (in very Trump-esque style).

Donald Trump is mocked by Saudi Prince after he tried to prove ties between Fox News and Saudi Arabia

Saudi Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal mocked Republican candidate Donald Trump for his attempts to expose the ownership structure of Fox News by posting a digitally manipulated image of the Prince and his sister posing next to news anchor Megyn Kelly.

The Prince responded with a tweet: “Trump: You base your statements on photoshopped pics?! I bailed you out twice; a 3rd time, maybe?”

That's right, I nearly forget. It's that whole circle jerk, um, I mean circle of life thing, or death as the case may be. The fun part being that at least by a story I read, he was afraid to even go out on it. Just went aboard when tied to the dock. He's not JFK either.

That strikes me as a bullshit story, not on your part, you might not have known, but by the article because Rhode Island is a major yachting center by its protected harbors, many marinas, much marine industry services, easy access to Long Island Sound & Oyster Bay where we used to go, the Hamptons, Martha's Vineyard, places where he'd be boating, especially in that stunning boat. Newport to Martha's Vineyard is half a day's sail. But from Boston Harbor? That's probably a full day & night. In any case, the boat is officially owned by a limited liability company out of his wife's home state of PA so if you wanted to claim anything, then you wouldn't even claim MA, rather, those taxes would have gone instead of RI to PA, where everyone knows how fabulous is the yachting in Pittsburg.

Regardless, it is flagged American, unlike Trump's yacht which was unpatriotically, particularly so for a future presidential nominee, flagged offshore.

That there are also tax benefits in RI is certainly a convenience, especially for neighboring Mass residents--brought about by and to encourage the industry there--but that would not be his motivating factor. For that matter, he could have purchased and kept the boat in Florida where the max tax (if you really want to get pissed off) is $18,000 I think it is regardless of cost of yacht. So there you could buy a 160 footer for 50 mil and pay just 18k in taxes. But then to flag it U.S. you'd have to pay your employees by American standards and not get away with ripping off your employees as could the Trump Princess flagged offshore.

Now, to be ever so fair, it should be noted that Donald Trump gave the gay killing Sultan of Brunei all those millions of dollars for that Trump yacht before the Sultan instituted sharia. But then, so did the Clinton Foundation accept donation before sharia; again, just as did Trump boat-buddy up to the radical Islamist.

Meanwhile. all this talk about Trump and yachts made me think of one of my favorite boats, the Trumpy (no relation, thank God). So I go to google one for kicks

YIKES. Oh noooooos. Now even my google image search for Trumpy boats has been ruined. A sure sign from Poseidon that he'd ruin everything.

I don't believe this. First time this ever happened on this search for trumpy, damn it:

ICK!!! YIKES!!!! What the fuck is that!!! That's not a Trumpy!

Now THIS, this is a Trumpy. Ain't she gorgeous:

& back in my youth I used to party on this Trumpy. Sails under a new name now. Still so perdy!

My bank when I first got out of college had a 68' Trumpy called the "Flying Lady" that I could call up for client entertaining along with a captain, a mate, a cook, and a server. She's still around as I have friends who send me links. Hull has been fiberglassed and of course all new electronics, kitchen, etc. I think the last I saw she was for sale for $1 mil. Still the same name. The last Presidential yacht was a Trumpy. Jimmy Carter sold her. I think.

Yes, I believe that first pic is the Flying Lady (a 61). For sale now I think. Gorgeous boat. And yes, she's been glassed over. I haven't seen it in person, just pics. The El Presidente, was a friend's boat back in my 20s, that one entertained many presidents (before I got on board, of course) though not in official capacity. You're thinking of the Sequoia. here's its wiki:

The other great presidential yacht before that was not a Trumpy but a real looker, the Honey Fitz. Lemme google a pic...

    Here's its website http://www.myhoneyfitz.com/

I'd mistakenly thought that was owned by JFK but I just read on that site it was renamed by him.

Yup! That's she. We'd do a three hour tour either up the Savannah River or down the barrier islands and have dinner served at sunset on the aft deck as mentioned. Shrimp Newburg. At the end of the cruise I'd stand on the very front of the bow and the captain would motor full speed into the covered birth and hit full reverse at the exact minute to cause the bow to rise up about five feet and then settle into the perfect, still position to tie up. Scared the hell out of everyone including me but I loved it and it cleared the head of alcohol to drive home.

Oh fun, I can picture every motion of it. In Florida I'd think you'd need more than a covered slip for that thing because if you let a Hurricane splinter that, you'd have to hightail it from a flotilla of the entire boating community who used to enjoying gawking. Hell, if I had that thing, I'd buy it it's own summer farm with a bunker off Okeechobee and a rail system off the waterway so as to not upset its bottom. I can't imagine the expense of maintaining that thing. But I'm sure glad someone does because that is such a thing of beauty. It's more pet than boat. You're not the owner; you're paying for the privilege to be the guardian.

But to see her in Savannah, one of my favorite boats in one of my favorite cities, yeah, I can picture that real easy. perfect fit. You were lucky to have experienced that. Nice.

Wealthy Muslims helped Donald Trump build his empire

Trump’s real estate and licensing income relies in part on wealthy Muslims, and Muslim-backed businesses, both located in the US and overseas—and particularly on a willingness to pay handsomely for things with the “Trump” name on them. Here’s a look at some of the more prominent deals and partnerships with Muslim individuals, governments, and companies that have buoyed the Trump brand over the years.
