Obama finances the stoning of gays to death by giving his "Good Friend", a free trade deal:

The free trade deal means lower prices for citizens of Brunei which keeps the dictator in power.

It turns your stomach to read this. But there are some RJ members here who still swear by the Republican Party, and all the great things they're going to do for us LGBT. While the rest of us would rather swear AT the Party.

But it does raise the question, after US House Republicans had a prayer read than endorses the killing of gays: why are Republican supporters on this site? Are they "agents provocateurs"? Or just what is their goal in promoting the US Republican Party? Perhaps they should explain their reasoning, and the apparent disconnect with LGBT interests, and even our survival.

The headline is dishonest. Nowhere in the article or in the speeches do any of the representatives call for the killing of homosexuals or quote Biblical verse calling for such. The quoted speech occurred in the month before Orlando -- not after -- when the entire conversation about gay rights in the US has drastically changed.

These hyperventilating, over-the-top gay and liberal sites are nearly as bad as the right wing conspiracy sites. Please validate your stuff before posting.

I don't believe you are correct about when this occurred. But the verse read/spoken, if taken literally does mean just that.

When it comes to Gay rights, there are no repuke supporters. There is no doubt in my mind that, given the opportunity, the right wing christian Nazi repukes would love nothing more than to have all of the Gay population of this country rounded up and gassed. Absolutely no doubt.
Before this upcoming election I used to think it was really just the older repukes that were such bigots. And that once these fossils died, (which I hope is soon and terribly painful), that there may be some small chance that the younger colony of the repukes ilk wouldn't be such bigots. But no.....they are.

Several Republicans walked out of the room in disgust.

"It was fucking ridiculous," said one GOP lawmaker, who was in the room and supported the LGBT provision.

A GOP leadership aide offered a similar verdict.

"A lot of members were clearly uncomfortable and upset," the aide said.

And? If the repukes could get away with it? Absolutely! The benumbed hatred these right wing christians hold for us is amazing. They prove it day after day.

Why won't the Republicans support even a modest tightening of gun regulations? It's fucking ridiculous, how many massacres do we need to have in this country. I am so sick of every last one of the those GOP politicians.

No, that's not what the verses mean...

https://pjmedia.com/faith/2016/06/19/no-new-york-times-romans-1-doesnt-call-for-the-execution-of-gays/?singlepage=trueWhile it is possible to cherry-pick verses and conclude that Romans discusses homosexuality and then says ... "those who do such things deserve death," to do so would ignore the real purpose of Romans 1, which states the sad predicament of humanity without God. As Paul later states, "all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God," and "the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 3:23, 6:23).

This way of reading the passage fits with the rest of Paul's letter, and Christianity in general. The basic idea is that everyone who has ever sinned against God's perfect law (including Mother Teresa) deserves death and hell, but God had mercy on us and provided a way out.

If you stubbornly refuse to accept this interpretation -- which is backed by the rest of scripture and 2,000 years of Christian history -- and argue that Romans 1:21-32 is arguing for the execution of gay people, then you have to accept that the passage is also advocating the death penalty for a long laundry list of sins that covers about 100 percent of humanity.

Yes, you could say Romans 1 calls for the death penalty for "gossips," "those who disobey their parents," "insolent, arrogant, and boastful" people, and anyone who has "no understanding." Romans 1 advocates the execution of the stubborn 5-year-old who wants to stay up late when mom and dad say he has to go to bed. Romans 1 calls for the killing of those who spread rumors. Romans 1 pushes the senseless murder of anyone who is arrogant or boastful.

If you reject the orthodox Christian reading of the text, you must accept the fatuous idea that Saint Paul, a theologian who stopped killing people when he converted to Christianity, is really arguing that Christians should kill every single person on the planet. Good luck with that.

To boot, homosexuality is not even on the list. Yes, in order to say Romans 1 calls for the execution of gays, you not only have to argue that everyone should be killed, but also that Paul's list of offenses begins earlier than it does.

Again, the point of Romans 1 is not to condemn or ostracize homosexuals, but to explain the effects of separation from God, and to show just how hopeless a fallen humanity is without the saving power of Jesus Christ. Any other reading becomes incoherent very quickly.

I am a Christian, Lutheran (ELCA) flavor. I don't believe in the twisting of religion to fit an agenda. And that's precisely what the article above is doing.

I believe everyone should be free to do what they want to, as long as it does not harm others. I am more libertarian, than Republican, or Democrat.

The whole political system is more interested in keeping the divisions going. Solving the problem by consensus and deliberation is not what is going on. Emotional appeals to "do something," in order to control us is what is occurring.

The same people complaining about civilians having firearms, and only law enforcement should have weapons, are the same ones who are saying cops are corrupt and can't be trusted. Nice cognitive dissonance there.

Is there a real distinction between the 2? A muslim and a christian? They both rule/run their lives based on their bullshit beliefs. Muslims, be them Democrats or repukes are the same in their bigoted ways as the repuke christian idiots.
You can spin this anyway you want to. repuke christians are douchbags. Plain and simple.
ANYONE whom votes against supporting a group to have the same rights that every other tax paying person has in this country because of ignorant beliefs in religious bullshit, is a douchebag. And mostly repukes. icon_mad.gif

You should be worried. I heard there is a secret anti-left wing committee from the FBI, DOJ, NSA and CIA that will identify and round up dissidents, attempt to re-educate, but if not possible, will do exactly what team Clinton does to problem people. "DNC Staffer probable leaker found killed in DC."

And how did you hear this? Through the antenna on your tin foil hat? What else have these voices been telling you?

haha - you're the one who is so worried so when there is possible confirmation that your worries are justified you claim tin foil hat. Not too logical. But to answer your question a friend who frequents some law enforcement and veteran forums said he heard it. I have no way to confirm that however.

Put your tin foil hat back on and consult with your friend some more. Maybe he can confirm it for you. It was good enough for you to previously post it here, without that caveat.

Awh - if there so many agents sent to disrupt the site as you always claim, why couldn't there be more extreme measures planned.

By the way - Do you have a preference if given the choice - cold weather camp or hot weather camp?

Republicans LOVE to quote parts of the bible that call for the mass-murder of gay people.
Every last Republican MUST be voted out of office. They are the party of bigotry and hate.

UMayNeverKnow saidIt's time to get prayer out of government. You can't pray or read bible verses in schools. Why in government?

EXACTLY. ALL religious bullshit should be eliminated from EVERYTHING governmental. It absolutely blows my mind that religion and its stupid followers have any say in how government works. THEY PAY NO TAXES! icon_eek.gificon_rolleyes.gif

EVERY religious structure in the US should pay property taxes (all taxes) that any other commercial business does. Those that can't? If not architecturally pleasant, should be bulldozed. Those that are pleasing to the eye should be offered to the real estate market for homes or commercial uses. (NON-RELIGIOUS in nature) icon_exclaim.gif
