Art_Deco saidIt turns your stomach to read this. But there are some RJ members here who still swear by the Republican Party, and all the great things they're going to do for us LGBT. While the rest of us would rather swear AT the Party.
But it does raise the question, after US House Republicans had a prayer read than endorses the killing of gays: why are Republican supporters on this site? Are they "agents provocateurs"? Or just what is their goal in promoting the US Republican Party? Perhaps they should explain their reasoning, and the apparent disconnect with LGBT interests, and even our survival.
I am a Christian, Lutheran (ELCA) flavor. I don't believe in the twisting of religion to fit an agenda. And that's precisely what the article above is doing.
I believe everyone should be free to do what they want to, as long as it does not harm others. I am more libertarian, than Republican, or Democrat.
The whole political system is more interested in keeping the divisions going. Solving the problem by consensus and deliberation is not what is going on. Emotional appeals to "do something," in order to control us is what is occurring.
The same people complaining about civilians having firearms, and only law enforcement should have weapons, are the same ones who are saying cops are corrupt and can't be trusted. Nice cognitive dissonance there.
