http://www.wsj.com/articles/erdogan-wants-istanbul-towers-to-lose-trump-name-1466855822ISTANBUL—Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for Donald Trump’s name to be removed from a Turkish franchisee’s towers in Istanbul’s business district due to what Mr. Erdogan termed the presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s Islamophobia.

Speaking at a Ramadan fast-breaking event Friday evening, Mr. Erdogan said an unnamed U.S. presidential candidate “has no tolerance for Muslims in America,” in remarks that have been taken to refer to Mr. Trump.

“They put that brand on his building and it must be swiftly taken down,”,,,

Has he been talking with the Mayor of Chicago?

Chicago Is Mad at Donald Trump

Mayor Rahm Emanuel is among the many Chicagoans criticizing the billionaire real estate mogul's decision to put his last name in bright letters on the side of an iconic building

Part of this is misinformation about Trump, and it's up to Trump in the coming months to fine-tune and clarify his position, but it pertains specifically to immigrants coming to this country, certainly NOT on a all Muslims in this country. Trump doesn't have a problem with "Muslims in America" per se. This is a generalization that simply is not true.

Yes & no. There was no way they'd let him signage the place, but you'll notice on the estate those clown circus entry awnings? I'm surprised to see the town let him get away with that. Especially on historic structures they are very strict. Also, I'd not been there in a while because I see in the google that the hedge is down exposing the house to the street. That's new and garish.

I hadn't said (you've not quoted correctly); rather, it was the article which said. I merely reported. Though I would say that the rhetoric we use reflects our thinking. You can't simply divorce one from the other.

I didn't say you said it, I was referring to the Turkish President's statement which was simply unfair and not accurate. Saying Trump has "No Tolerance For Muslims in America" is generalized misinformation.

This some fine spin for Trump.
Too bad that Trump needs constant explanation of what he means to say.

But Trump's Spin-sters aren't winning this farcical campaign,. are they!]

So a technical glitch then. I suspected as much but it didn't read as such and so thank you for your clarification.

The problem with your argument, at least as I see it, is that while you might be able to isolate Trump from Trump (what he said in one outrageous statement vs another of his mouthings) to argue that Trump referred only to those coming in, not those already here, we'd have to go into denial about his family-uprooting and impossibly expensive Mexican deportation call. And then we'd have to isolate his statements against Latinos from his Islamophobic ones.

Your being his supporter gives you the luxury of those blinders to only view a piece at a time. But the rest of us see him as a whole.
