13 HOUSE DEMOCRATS VOTED IN COMMITTEE TO DEREGULATE HEDGE FUNDS – HERE ARE THEIR BRIBES

the "investment Advisers Modernization Act." If it passes and Obama signs it, it "would allow the hedge fund and private equity industry, which are rich enough to pay for the few parking-ticket-level fines the SEC hands out, to escape from virtually all enforcement efforts. Worse, it would considerably weaken protections meant to stop Madoff-type frauds, and leave retail investors exposed."

It is this kind of disregard of the needs to real people that drives revolts like Brexit and Trumpsim. While I favor neither - a vast understatement - I am sympathetic with the many people who feel that government is a charade that doesn't give a damn, that the 1% and the corporations can do whatever they want and get away with it. No wonder we are seeing the beginnings of some kind of revolution. Will our "leaders" see it in time to take some responsible measures?
