Tale of two cities, something is just not right here. The Jesuits and the black pope https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adolfo_Nicol%C3%A1s run everything Vatican. The Nazi pope, favored by republicans, was told to step down in favor of a more moderate leaning, therefore the latest pope is not conservative enough according to right wing nut jobs. The black pope, since 2008 may himself be "moderate" thus the change to the white pope who he controls.

The costumes these people wear are fabulous but def give off a pagan vibe. It looks like they all practice black magic on the same lines as occult. How in the world can anyone take Catholicism seriously when its all built on rituals on par with Freemasonry or KKK, men in funny looking costumes? Some of them could pass for Merlin, or Gandalf who cast spells and burn witches, I never understood this why all the money spent on costumes and pagan ceremony. But I do understand the church of Satan that pokes fun of these people for being such hypocrites.

Other than Halloween, do "normal" people dress like this?
The religious rituals in costumes are just all so creepy, the black (evil) v white (good) duality of life icon_confused.gif

Yes, what about it? Maybe the gays should apologize to the church for infiltrating the priesthood and molesting boys.

I like this Pope but really? He's apologizing because the Church has been belligerent assholes for centuries and should not have been belligerent? It's the assholishness that I have no tolerance for. Change the church to embrace gay men and women as equals. I'm over asking for "tolerance." I choose to be intolerant of tolerance.

Christians should apologise to gay people: Pope Francis
https://www.yahoo.com/news/christians-apologise-gay-people-pope-francis-004244080.html

Rome (AFP) - Pope Francis said that Christians and the Roman Catholic Church should apologise to gay people and seek their forgiveness for the way they have been treated.

Speaking to reporters at he flew back to Rome from Armenia, the pope was asked if he agreed with comments by German Cardinal Reinhard Marx that the Church needed to say sorry for the way it has treated the gay community.

"We Christians have to apologise for so many things, not just for this (treatment of gay people), but we must ask for forgiveness. Not just apologise -- forgiveness," he said.

his statement has no meaning. "the church SHOULD ask forgiveness" instead of "The church asks forgiveness" is like "I should do situps" instead of "I do situps".

Well, while I get the anger on here, I think his comments (as listed in the article) are a great start. He says the church should not just apologize but ask for forgiveness. Each of us gets to decide for ourselves if we will accept the apology, forgive, both or neither.

Holding this Pope responsible for what other Popes did would be akin to me demanding of all White people that they compensate for what their parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins and neighbors did to - in attitude or action - to Black folks for the last 300 years. If I demanded this, the majority of answers would be either
1) Get over it!
2) Thats' in the past (similar to # 1)
3) I'm not responsible for what others did.

Staying angry at "The Church" because of the disgusting behavior of former cardinals, bishops, etc. IS living in the past. And if your past isn't over and put behind you, , you're not alive in the here and now. You can't be. This is why incest survivors, for example, suffer so much: the past is never far from them. But for others to look at one person whom they believe represents an organization they hate and lay all their anger on him? Nuts to that. If that's the case, give me my 40 acres and mule. And make those 40 acres midtown Manhattan.

I like Pope Francis. I see a humble man, who has inherited what his predecessors allowed. But he's not them. He's only himself. And who he is, is good enough for me.

Did the church ever apologize or ask forgiveness from the Jews for their helping the Germans with their extermination program during WWII?

And it's still a male-only organization; when will they ever allow women to be priests, bishops, and cardinals, much less a woman pope?
