I'd like to see it passed. Though we've benefited from the tax revenues here in Colorado, it's also causing a rush on commercial and residential real estate that's making affordable housing difficult. It's also put a strain on social resources and brought in a population that doesn't integrate will into existing communities.

If other states such as California legalize recreational marijuana, hopefully some of the population that's come to Colorado will shift. Cali has nicer weather, better beaches, etc.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/ondcp/state-laws-related-to-marijuanaSince 1996, 23 states and Washington, DC have passed laws allowing smoked marijuana to be used for a variety of medical conditions. It is important to recognize that these state marijuana laws do not change the fact that using marijuana continues to be an offense under Federal law.

It is important to note that Congress has determined that marijuana is a dangerous drug and that the illegal distribution and sale of marijuana is a serious crime. The Department of Justice (DOJ) is committed to enforcing the Controlled Substances Act (CSA) consistent with these determinations. On August 29, 2013, DOJ issued guidance to Federal prosecutors concerning marijuana enforcement under the CSA. The Department’s guidance is available on the DOJ Web site, and provides further detail.

In the old USSR vodka was the drug of choice. Marijuana could be the drug of choice in Calif. It would make sitting on the beach and living with the fubar government there more bearable.

Of course unemployment would rise since fewer will want to work - causing a decrease in collected taxes. Oh well.

lol. You really just spout the bullshit you're fed from your goofball sources. Does it ever occur to you to think. Can you? California has now surpassed both France and England as the eight largest economy in the world.

California has the single largest economy in the richest country in the world.
But apparently in Republican thinking, that's "F*cked Up Beyond All Recognition."
Somehow it all makes sense in Red-State Land. icon_rolleyes.gif

Moronic conservative trolls aside, I hope CA passes the Recreational Pot bill...
It's time to stop pouring resources into prosecuting and incarcerating harmless pot-smokers who are not bothering anyone.

New data shows that legal marijuana is hurting the profits of corporate opioid dealers, aka Big Pharma.
