http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/08/us/politics/bernie-sanders-hillary-clinton.html?_r=0After three weeks of private preparations, Senator Bernie Sanders is expected to endorse Hillary Clinton on Tuesday at a campaign event in New Hampshire, according to three Democrats who have been involved in the planning.

The Clinton campaign on Thursday announced the New Hampshire trip but did not provide details, including any mention of Mr. Sanders.

Mr. Sanders, in an interview Thursday with Bloomberg View’s Al Hunt, came as close to endorsing Mrs. Clinton as he ever has, saying: “We have got to do everything that we can to defeat Donald Trump and elect Hillary Clinton. I don’t honestly know how we would survive four years of a Donald Trump as president.”

The three Democrats, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reveal confidential conversations, said that the endorsement was partly the result of daily talks between Mrs. Clinton’s campaign manager, Robby Mook, and the Sanders campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, about bringing together the two rivals and advancing the policy priorities of Mr. Sanders. The discussions included a dinner between Mr. Mook and Mr. Weaver in Burlington, Vt., where Mr. Sanders has his campaign headquarters.

A little late, but better late than never. That being said, I think Sanders has already lost some of the luster that he'd sought to achieve,, so I'm not sure his endorsement of Clinton will have the impact that it would have had if Sanders had given Clinton a much earlier endorsement. Many pro-Sanders supporters have already coalesced around Clinton, albeit with a heavy heart.

I don't know that he had a choice but to ride once he mounted that horse until that crazed beast tired out. If you've ever been on one that only knows how to run, you'd know what I'm talking about. He's either gonna throw ya or scrape you off on a low limb or one of you will tire first. Or a combo of all three. I think he did a great job and I thank him for that ride. He's moved the party properly to the left where it's belonged all along. Still work to be done on that front over time. I do likes Hillary too but I likes Bernie a whole lot. I don't agree with everything he says but more often than not, what he says, I'm already thinkin'.

I'm very disappointed in the Green Party's slimy attempt to sabotage his endorsement of Hillary by their last minute offer to him of his own presidential run with them, particularly when he's already promised not to engage a third party run around the Democrats. And so I look forward to his formal endorsement tomorrow for our Democratic Candidate for President, Hillary.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/07/12/bernie-sanders-endorse-hillary-clinton-today-new-hampshire/86954050/PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Bernie Sanders officially endorsed Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid here Tuesday, ending a primary campaign that defied expectations and tested the notion that Clinton’s claim to the Democratic nomination was inevitable.

The Vermont senator, appearing with Clinton at Portsmouth High School, thanked his supporters and contributors for showing the world that a campaign could be run with small contributions.

"I have come here today not to talk about the past but to focus on the future," he said in prepared remarks released as he took the stage. "That future will be shaped more by what happens on November 8 in voting booths across our nation than by any other event in the world. I have come here to make it as clear as possible as to why I am endorsing Hillary Clinton and why she must become our next president."

Ya, I agree. I like the input he's had on the platform but he could have negotiated that with H if he'd wanted to. His actions towards the end seemed petty and slightly immature considering the stakes. All my Bernie friends are silent on the net now though you still see the crazies in any comment section of any thread. Still, he coaxed the party to look at itself. Time to move away from Bill's pivot following the Gingrich Contract days.

    What he got?

He got to maintain his integrity.

    What he deserves?

Pretty much whatever other position in government he wants where he thinks he can best benefit the American public.
