I finally have some savings to buy a Road Trek bicycle, already have a Trek Fuel Mt. Bike but want to move to Road. I have always have Trek and like their design, construction, and capabilities. I was wondering if anyone has a Trek Domane and pros/cons? Any insights would be appreciated. I am hoping to find a 2015 or 2016 model since the 2017 models are coming out, but I know some cycle shops tend to discount the older models. Thanks guys.

I recommend searching for a lightly-used but older Trek. I picked up an 8-year-old carbon Madone for 45% original retail.

Thanks, I done that in the past, but is hard because of my size which is usually a 54cm and is hard to come by. I have been looking at Craiglist, but nothing so far I like or that is in decent shape.

Can't answer your specific question about that particular bike, but can make some general observations (and by way of a friendly thread bump).

Trek is indeed a fine bicycle. I've bought several of them, but for my sons as first adult bikes, all of them in a low-key generalized mountain bike design, rugged enough for teens and their riding interests. For myself I've had Specialized and Cannondale, my current road ride, also excellent brands. The Cannondale in a heavier touring design, but indestructible, although virtually obsolete in the US today as a type. The ones still being sold as tourers are kinda wannabe decal bikes. But serious road bikes are all I've owned for over 50 years.

Our resident bike expert here is paulflexes, but I don't know if Paul is active with RJ at present. And his passion is mountain biking. Still, he might have some ideas & leads for you, if you'd like to PE him. And I believe he's currently out there in California, though not near you.
