What Do You Appreciate...

After Chatting With Someone For A Bit ... I Love To Ask This Question... What Is Something... That You Get Every Once And A While... Something Inexpensive... That Just Puts A Smile On Your Face When You Use It... Eat It... Whatever...

I Have Had Some Guys Say IPODS... And That Is Really Not What I Am Looking For... Its About The Simple Things... Things That Make You Just Happy...

My Answer Is Simple And Cheesy... I Drink Out Of A Glass At The House And I Use Neon Bendy Straws.. And It Just Puts a Little Smile On My Face... I Do Not Know Why... But It Does...

    What Do You Appreciate...?

The most joy I get is cooking while listening to some good music. That always puts me in a good mood. I decided to get rid of some of my cd's so I've been listening to them in alphabetical order and wow did I forget I had some good tunes.

So I guess to answer the question of getting something you enjoy every once in a while would be hearing a song I like but had forgotten.

A new plant for my garden.

Every few years a new pet. I'm awaiting the birth of my new puppy. But that won't be until June, that she will be born. The way my dogs great me when I come home. I would say thats my most simplest joy. In an instant all your troubles are gone.

I would have to say I just enjoy when I go with a friend to a local park and just have a really good conversation. I could never ask for a better time with my friends icon_smile.gif

Walking out my backdoor and listening the the water go down the creek....it is a seasonal creek so I don't get it all year.

Looking up and seeing a clear blue sky.

Watching the hawks enjoying the wind drafts.

Driving out the front gates and seeing rabbits and deer along the river.

Watching the clouds move along the canyon walls.

Seeing a waterfall that is over 100 feet high from my front porch. It only happens very rarely and for a very short period of time when there is a lot of rain....but I love it when I see it. We do not get it every year.

I appreciate having neighbors/friends that are so caring and just overall good very special people.

I love planting bulbs and seeing these amazing flowers come from them.

The sappy cute animal stories at the end of the evening news. The recent one about the koala in the bucket of water nearly gave me cavities it was so sweet.

Buying a used book with a hand written message in it meant for the original owner.

That even though we're told nearly every day that things are getting worse, I still think that things are getting better.

I don't tell her as often as I should, not even close.... but I appreciate my mom.

I'm taking a semester off of school because I dunno what the hell I wanna do with my life, and she sent me a note telling me she supports whatever I do, says she loves me, no matter what, and that she'll be there for me.

I tend to keep things to myself that are personal and while I may say shocking things sometimes, I rarely mean it... so I guess my mom puts a smile on my face.

Also, having a drink and shooting the shit with friends, not a big party, just talking about whatever... we used to do it in high school, and now we rarely get to do it anymore. I love it. I live for talking to people about their problems and discussing how they could solve them and what they might be able to do. I dunno, I just like listening to people...

I guess talking with friends/helping them would be something that puts a smile on my face.

Talking with my friends, be it online, on the phone, or in person. I love to connect with people, to learn about others and what makes them who they are. I even like strikeing up random conversations with my customers that pass through the store.

Also, finger paints. Yea, that's right. After all these years, I still love to finger paint hehe.

I work 3rd shift so for me this time of year it would be my one night off that I have all to myself, I love to wait until night, put in a good movie, build a huge fire in the fire place, get japanese food or something good, get in my loungewear, curl up on the couch in front of the fire with my soft blanket and watch tv till I fall asleep by the fire.

    So peaceful and relaxing.

during the summer, my favorite thing is to go out back of my house with a beer or mixed drink...sit on my patio in the moonlight. I have these huge trees in my backyard, they must be 200 years old. I love sitting out there by the moonlight, drinkin my drink and just listening to the wind blow the trees. It is so magical, beautiful and peaceful.

Going to the airport, parking my car by the runway, sitting on the hood and watching the planes take off and land.

Something that I get? When someone smiles at me, use common courtesy with me, or when I see someone helping or being kind to a complete stranger. It makes a big difference in my day.

The eternal love and happiness of my dog.
Even if I am in the house and he is outside, there a just times I see him from a window and he will do something - ever so sublte even - and it makes me laugh or smile.

Because of it's surprising rarity, I'd say the simple sincere acknowledgment of friendship.
