Sussex Police received a fair amount of complaints last year for adding a £225 rainbow graphic to a police vehicle in celebration of Brighton's Pride parade.

This year, in response to the criticism, they've gone one better by decorating the biggest vehicle in their fleet and two motorbikes for £420.

Who cares about the cost? It's as ugly as Hell. Seriously; I'm half expecting to see a unicorn painted on the other side of it.

Why not just paint the Pride flag on it and leave it simple yet tasteful.

Nice! Wish the Republican Party here would understand that outreach makes a civil society function. I bet if the Repukes hadn't tried (successfully) to benefit from the police/black issue here more good cops would be reaching across the divide to work with the black community and vice-versa. The Sheriff of this county (in re-election mode) just told a group of voters he considers Black Lives Matter to be a terrorist group. He'll get elected in the disgustingly right wing part of Florida (really more like lower Alabama) and race relations will worsen. Can you imagine how insecure that makes a black family with a teenage son feel?

    "SIMPLE YET TASTEFUL"?
We must be going to different Pride events.
Let's not allow the Straights to find out just how boring we really are, or they'll have no use for us at all.

That's fantastic. Just imagine growing up with such positive images. And then to have lived through these generations of Gay Rights, to have fought as best we all could in whatever way we could and to now finally see such results. This is incredible.

To have gone from being afraid to ask just anyone in public out on a date or just to trick--God forbid--because you might be arrested by an undercover cop in an anti-Gay sting operation, in a park or at the beach, wherever you might be, to finding all those Republicans tapping their wide-stance bathroom stall feet, to all the humiliating newspaper lists & pictures of people arrested merely for trying to meet each other in public, to having a moment of being gay under whatever circumstanced forced or encouraged by a society that refused to allow us to be ourselves in the light of day, to Stonewall, to pride parades, to outing ourselves, to fighting the political fight, to winning, to a Pride mural on the side of a Police van. Wow. What psychic could have seen that 40 years ago? This is fantastic.

    Yay, Us!

I'm half way expecting to see Care Bears hop out of it in cute little cop uniforms. Who can take them seriously like this? icon_lol.gif

Just yesterday, I saw the paypal float in CSD Berlin. I was so tempted to go and tell those guys what an asshole their CEO is.

Lol. My first job after university was with an advertising agency. I looked at it from a "brand marketing" perpective, not from a fashion state of view. Having said that, who knows? Maybe you're on to something. :-)
