Fish or Snake, Egg or Scorpion

I'm listening to the sermon. (Luke 11: 11-13)

What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”…

I disagree that God does not send us scorpions. I think Job was right and Jesus was wrong. Jesus was agonizing in the Garden of Gethsemene over the scorpion God gave him.

There are scorpions sent by God, but there are scorpions not sent by God but by Man.

I do agree to hold on for the Comforter, but Job had faith and steadfastness when there was no Holy Spirit sent by Jesus.

Yes, Christianity raises us up to more than we can be. And if we go further, Christianity was our elementary and high school teachers.

You betta sing, sweet tenor. (And you betta play that piano, Reverend, highly revered.)
