He's the perfect foil to his fellow New York billionaire.

The Democratic Party gave a prime time speaking slot to former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg at the party's convention Wednesday night for one reason: He is the perfect foil to Donald Trump.

Bloomberg eviscerated Trump's business record. "Trump says he wants to run the nation like he's running his business," he said, noting Trump's history of bankruptcies and bilking contractors. "God help us!"

"I'm a New Yorker and I know a con when I see one," he continued. "The richest thing about Donald Trump is his hypocrisy."

You don't have to be a Michael Bloomberg to see this con--you need only have a scintilla of intelligence and a sprinkling of common sense which, apparently, a lot of people don't have.

I was a little on edge during his speech, not sure which way he'd turn. But for a businessman, he was very well behaved. I kid about the second part. He did a great job. I wasn't sure at first how he'd play that. So I felt a sigh of relief when he stopped talking. I do like how he handles himself. Very clear in his thinking. To the point. Expresses himself in a very comprehensible way. Even in the light humor of his subtle references, there's no misunderstanding what he's said. I liked him more than I was expecting to.

Most all the speakers did a great job last night. I had a problem with some of the singing voices, however. The only guy I wasn't into was that director I think he was who spoke before that ever so eloquent lady who lost her kid at Orlando. Maybe he was just super nervous but he struck me as a little too full of himself for that stage. Again, could have just been nerves. Especially if your worried about the ridiculous BerntheBust people who nearly rattled a general. They really are being such douchebags.

Otherwise, I'm really enjoying this convention. Very reaffirming of why I love so much being a Democrat. We got a lot of good people on our side of the aisle.

Here's just another reason why Dems are proud to be Dems. Oh Hillary the sacrifices you make for the commoners...

Bloomberg's speech was succinct, eloquent and very much on point. I hope he runs for president after Hilary leaves office.

Better to be a loyal Wall Street shill than the village idiot, I say.

    Bloomberg: 74
    Clinton: 68
    Trump: 70

They will all be nursing home material in their first or second term. America should try to do better than this.

Oh dear... well there goes that.

Oh wait a minute, wasn't Reagan like 80 when he was first elected?

Dude, you are like a one trick pony.... But I ask you, if you think Bloomberg's very eloquent, well thought out and well delivered speech was a crock of shit, what do you think of Chump's rantings?

Clearly you are smoking some serious weed or something if you think Bloomberg's speech was a crock of shit. Heck, all you have to do to prove Bloomberg wrong is for you to go to a Macy's store, look for one of Chump's shirts and look at the country in which it was manufactured. This should be easy enough for even someone like you.

Bloomberg's takedown of Donald the con man was perfect!
Apparently Trump the whiny little bitch got his fee-fees hurt -- he spent all day screaming about how much he wanted to physically assault Bloomberg. This was in front of an audience who responded with awkward silence. Is Trump mentally ill? Sure looks like it.

It was brilliant. Perhaps Trump thinks it's all a reality show...

It was idiotic and Bloomberg has just demonstrated to the American people that he has zero credibility. This latest, childish ranting of his at that farcical sideshow called the DNC convention is valid proof. I would not be one bit surprised if he is involved in some way with that powerful money laundering syndicate known as the Clinton Foundation.
