I am moving back into town (Denver) so getting rid of all the old toys. Contrary to popular folk lore those with a lot of toys dont win any prize.
posted two mighty Craigslist local adds.
I was not prepared for the amount of buyers so I closed the initial adds and increased the prices 10x. Still the buyers tried to break my phone. All this stuff was OLD and sitting in the back yard for a LONG time. The buyers were all freaky trump supporters in their late 20's. I filtered the contacts through Google Voice but seems about 1/3 of the buyers were fake and it took time to figure which ones were real. It seemed only a few of the buyers had a real plan for either the trailer or the car. I tried to sell to peeps that had a reasonable plan for re-use; maybe worked in a small speed shop, maybe they auto-x. I can now under stand how citizens buy an expensive AR-15 because they need one.

The trailer was 11years old, the tires were rotted. i got only two of four tires to hold air and only for a few hours.

The car was a 1994 partially completed Nissan 240 track car. Gutted interior. Granted it was a source for some nice JDM parts but this is an OLD car. Newer cars have much better handling & speed. God forbid but i understand; some of the new current Ford Fiesta sport models are more functional for an auto x situation.

    open car trailer $900

actually the trailer sold first and the car second. The trailer that the buyer(s) had to picked up the car was lower quality.

I hate selling shit on CL. A majority of the replies are lowball offers, or poor/struggling students asking if you'd be willing to give to them for free, or churches asking you to donate the stuff. Fuck all. icon_lol.gif
