We can hope - it would dump the GOP into even greater mess and turmoil. Until they learn to be a responsible, loyal, intelligent opposition - with the nation needs - the sooner their ship sinks, the better.

What a gift from above this would be. He is clearly clearly mentally ill.

Even if he was elected, I think he would soon give reasons to start impeachment proceedings. Then we would have POTUS Mike Pence. I'm totally fine with that if we could get it done before Trump has too much chance to do serious damage.

Mike Pence won't be our next president either.
Evangelicals love him but they are the limits of his appeal.

Trump is not interested in what is best for the Republican Party.
    He's in this for himself.

Trump dropping out? Not gonna happen. Not from a megalomaniac who thinks he could shoot someone in the street and still not lose support.

Hillary is the perfect Republican candidate. Even Meg Whitman thinks so. Wall street knows so.

Exactly like Hillary, she is only running for the White House to further her own self aggrandizement.

it's laughable that people actually believe this would ever happen. Trump had 15,000 tonight at his rally in Jacksonville, FL and another 5000 outside who couldn't get in. He had 10,000 earlier in the day in Daytona Beach. He's not going anywhere

I suppose Trump has to 'quit' on his own, he cant be removed at this point. Stepping down 'for the good of their party's interest' would probably cause all his voting supporters that got him the nomination to riot and or stage a coup leading up to and on election day, even throwing the election

The demise of the GOP, republican party, that hitched themselves to the extreme right wing, appears inevitable at this moment icon_redface.gif

Obviously, the GOP will survive this election. On the other hand, I am just fine with the demise of any and every extreme right candidate. Trump is reshaping the GOP and this is a good thing and long overdue

Trump is a true representation of the GOP base.
Every opinion held by rank and file Republican voters has been on full display with Trump's candidacy.

This election cycle has exposed the Republican Party.
    THANK YOU, DONALD!

Jacksonville is near the Georgia border. A State which the Florida Panhandle adjoins, along with Alabama. The entire area is radical Right Wing Republican, south through Florida until around Orlando. With a Republican community of wealthy one-percenters in the Palm Beach/West Palm Beach area. The real news story would be if Trump did NOT receive a great welcome from LGBT & minority-hating supporters.

    Trump will drop out!

He is not going to allow himself the humiliation of losing.

He will soon come up with an excuse, probably something involving Melania and the stress and
he can officially declare "I Put My Family First."

Who knows what this erratic megalomaniac will do. Perhaps be incapable of realizing that he can fail. A more rational person would recognize their losses & cut them, to exit before more damage is done to Republicans.

But then it's never been about the Republican Party, but about The Donald personally. The GOP was merely a vehicle for Trump's delusions of grandeur, and lust for power.

Well, GOP primary election voters voted for him lock, stock & barrel. They're stuck with him now. What are they gonna do next?

Putting a madman on the Presidential ticket is unprecedented in US history. This will be amazing to watch. And perhaps a cautionary tale for future US elections.

Whole thing a made up story circulated out of desperation. Just like this: The DNC is considering options if Hillary confesses to arranging for Vincent Foster's murder.
